First of all, the guests have won. Figment has taken on Dr. Nigel Channing of the Imagination Institute and Dr. Channing comes off the loser!!!
At the 2001 Disney Annual Meeting a certain Mikey said "Figment has gone to Figment Heaven". The Imagineers have resurrected him, and he is now alive and very well.
The ride is fully accessible. At least one of the trains has a special section where a person in a chair or ECV can roll in forward, then be faced forward on a locking turntable, and then exit again facing forward. That seating section also has room for one other person to sit. Normally there are three to a row.
There had been one minor problem that I noticed on opening day but I discussed it with one of the Imagineers who said it would not be a problem for maintenance to fix. Someone in a power chair was getting on, and the wheels started to spin, so the CM helped push the chair a bit. The Imagineer said they would glue some rough-surfaced material onto the special ramp (which is part of the car) so that tires would get a good grip.
JudySue and I are active participants in the http://www.friendsoffigment.org website. I am the site's photographer, and it is run by Tiggerbelle's father in Chicago. We had done a lot of pushing to get Figment back, and the Imagineers included a small tribute to our web site in the revamped attraction.
