Where are you staying? I'm pretty sure Buzz is right and most pool/hotel bars will be showing it since it's such a big game but there might be better options depending on where you'll be.
Black Friday in the USA is the holiday right after Thanksgiving. We shop like crazy in the morning, eat Thanksgiving leftovers at 12pm and then watch sports all day. It’s the perfect day for the legendary USA/England rivalry match (which the USA will win of course :-) ).

We will be supporting England whilst on our holiday in Orlando . Hoping to find somewhere showing the england v usa match . Not sure Disney will have them on .
MLS club cities organize big watch parties as well (though due to COVID restrictions, I don’t know how big they will be this upcoming World Cup).

If you contact the club, they might be able to tell you about their upcoming watch party events for the game. The game will be seen all around WDW/Universal in some way. Trust me. I don’t know how much you know about soccer in the States, but at the very least we support our national teams.

Channel 10 in Orlando is their Fox station in WDW hotels.

It should be on Fox Sports radio as well.

The bars of the hotels and in their hotel room have tvs. Disney Springs has bars/restaurants with tvs that will show the game. This game will be the most accessible in USA history on a big USA holiday. There will be watch parties as well. Universal might have a watch party in the theme park since NBC owns Telemundo. Chain restaurants, like Buffalo Wild Wings for example, do WC events usually as well.

Sure you can watch it in your room but most bars at Disney World don't show sport events, especially soccer. You continue to overstate how many people care about soccer.

I wasn’t. When ESPN had the TV rights, Disney did a watch party in Epcot.

And you continue to underestimate how much the US becomes soccer crazy during the WC. We aren’t Canada. If Canada goes 3 and out without a single goal, we’ll see how much coverage they get on TSN during next year’s Nations League/Gold Cup. You won’t be beating the USMNT on home soil that’s for sure. November is going to be an unfortunate awakening on how good Canada is against European quality teams. Good luck. :-) 🤣

Also, Orlando is a knowledgeable soccer town. :snooty:

Wilderness lodge for the Iran game and poly for the USA game then offsite for the others .
All will be on Fox and FS1. You’ll be in good hands. When in doubt, ask the front desk. Or follow my WC thread. @declansdad is wrong, there are many places to see all the England matches on and off property. The links I posted above have the game times in ET so you won’t have any confusion on when they will start. Fox is putting all the games in 4K HD this year too.

I never said you couldn't find the match on TV. Your original answer to the question talked about places that don't exists and WDW Resorts are not places that show a lot of sports. Resort bars are not sport bars. I also didn't say there wouldn't be places in the Orlando area where you could watch; there are plenty of sport bars that would most likely have some of their TVs tuned to the games.

Your passive/aggressive nature when it comes to soccer and Canada are really quite tiresome. In one sentence you say you are so excited to see Canada do well and in the next you take a shot. Maybe you could start another soccer thread to keep everyone updated.

Please find one city that has any covid restrictions.
I meant to say if there are any Covid restrictions. If Covid gets worse post this election, I could see the restrictions get put back in place for large gatherings to stop it’s spread. The Olympics had restrictions in place and the WC probably will to.

The only one I mentioned that doesn’t exist anymore is the ESPN Center and that’s because I didn’t know it closed this year. Rose and Crown does show soccer in the restaurant partly because it’s a British pub. Disney will definitely put on the games in their restaurants if they have a bar area because many non soccer fans tune in. I believe the building that hosted a watch party in Epcot back in 2014 was a white convention building called Oasis I believe. My point is that you were so dismissive of the games being shown in WDW. Any restaurant with a tv will have the games on (the exception probably being if a local football game is on). You said I over estimate how much the USA cares about soccer. Perhaps that may be true but that’s honestly different to the national teams. Google watch parties from past World Cups here in the USA and you’ll see packed areas (parks, arenas, restaurants and malls), from large cities and small towns showing support for the national teams. It’s honestly one of the most bandwagoning things Americans do outside of the Olympics. As for my shade at Canadian soccer, I apologize. I do honestly hope Canada does well this World Cup but the odds are definitely not in your favor. In regards to what you said about WDW and soccer, what are you basing this on? Genuinely asking if you have visited the USA during a World Cup month in the last decade? Every since 2010, the national teams have made the national news and even more are now interested and aware of the teams’ existence since the equal pay deal became politicalized. Landon Donovan’s famous goal was how most became fans of the team. Every year the national team fan base grows (along with MLS/USL expansion). I will fully admit that diehard American EL Tri fans in the USA outnumber currently the diehard American Stars and Stripes fans in the USA. However that is rapidly changing and is only accelerating the amount of people tuning into the WC. Casuals continue to increase and have in the last decade alone. The TV numbers for USA, Mexico, and elite European countries WC matches have been very good in the past on both English and Spanish networks (partly due to the fact the channels are on basic cable/streaming). One other thing, Americans tune into the WC one to see their country play (yes many only tune in once every 4 years for the sport) and two we like to see the best of the best play regardless of the sport if the USA is in it. The ratings in 2018 were lower than expected in some cases due to the USA not being there but growth of the sport’s/tournament popularity definitely showed.

All of that is highly doubtful. Covid has changed from how it was in 2020.

We are still in a pandemic and the virus is still here. It keeps evolving and not everyone is getting the updated booster shots. So the danger remains to a point for the foreseeable future.

The virus is NEVER going away. But the point remains, there are no covid restrictions and the odds are EXTREMELY small that any will be put back into place.

I could potentially see stricter travel restrictions being put in place (in my experience the US has some of the tightest already, outside of Asia), but I'd be surprised if they put in social/mass gathering restrictions back in (bar some unprecedented surge with a variant that is not affected by the vaccines (as in the vaccines don't reduce hospitalization and/or death).

So what is your opinion of the US chances?

In 1994, US soccer pretty much guaranteed they would be a serious threat in 20 years. Not necessarily to win the WC, but to be among the elite group that consistently makes it to the Final 4.
