Ok, maybe not the best budget item but I just ordered this from Macys for an incredible price! I got 12 place settings for $152 total (includes tax and delivery!) That makes it $12.66 a place setting!:banana:

I had the same set in pink and navy, to match my kitchen. Be careful because they scratch incredibly easily with utensils.

I LOVE fiestaware...be careful..they are addicting. ;) I have collector pieces that no one is allowed to eat off but then I have daily users too. :) I find good deals on Amazon.com w/free shipping as well.

That's good to know. I had planned on spending about $18 a place setting since that seemed like the best sale price I could find. I was thrilled today to find it even better and jumped right on it. Now I'm looking at what else I might need! Serving bowls, platters, spoon rest, linens....:rotfl:

I was reading some different ways to get rid of those scratches. Have you tried some of them? Baking soda, toothpaste and some special stuff just for cookware?

Pink and Navy sounds nice. You wouldn't believe how long it took me to decide on colors...:headache:

I can't decide on colors. :) I have one setting of each color of the modern era. :) And I have a few collector pieces of the original 1930's Fiesta.

I've never tried to remove the scratches. My family jokes that I don't let people use steak knives on my plates. :) I just don't saw on the plates and I don't have that much trouble..the scratches show up worse on the darker colors like Cobalt.

I did get two place settings of the cobalt. I just keep thinking that it was less than $13, so if it does scratch, it isn't like i spent a fortune on them. I guess we will use the yellow plates on steak night!

OP, you did great! What colors did you get?

I love my Fiestaware. :goodvibes

What they said :). I swear that there's opium in the glaze or something because I started with Chartreuse 10 years ago when I needed new dishes & found place settings for about 7$ each. I swore that I only needed place settings, not serving pieces...OK maybe a few serving pieces but not other colors...OK maybe a FEW other colors but never, ever any of the vintage...:rotfl:

Anyway, let's just say that if I wanted to I wouldn't have to wash dishes for a very, very long time.

Fiesta will scratch. Scratches in the clear coat will show up much more in the darker colors (cobalt, plum, cinnabar) and there's nothing that you can do about them once you get them. Utensil marks (look like pencil lines) show up more on the lighter colors but can easily be gotten rid of with a little Comet (it doesn't damage the plates, I swear ;)). Since I bought the dishes to use the scratches really don't bother me.

BTW- these dishes are definitely budget related*. I vought Fiesta to replace my set of cracked & crazed dishes after 5 years of use. 10 years later & my chartreuse babies are still going strong. Oven & dishwasher safe, easy to clean & hard to chip. Plus lead free & made in the USA.

*these are budget friendly only if you can resist the siren song of more colors/more pieces/look at that adorable decal/wouldn't this be sweet for the holidays? Be strong, sister :lmao:.

You do know that chartreuse is collectable, right??? :) Its one of the sets that no one is allowed to touch. ;)

I LOVE Fiestaware. I bought my set about two years ago. Each place setting that I have is a different color - I just couldn't limit myself to one! I love opening my kitchen cabinet and looking at my colorful display of Fiestaware. Thank you for sharing the deal!

Fiestaware is made about 20 minutes from my house. They have a great outlet at the factory!

Did you use a code - or are all the place settings on sale? I LOVE fiesta but only have a few old pieces - DH and I want to replace out ancient everyday stuff (not Fiesta) and this would be the coolest!! I'll look at the site later - jsut trying to get easy answers here! :cutie::goodvibes

Congrats!

They are $26.99 a set, with a buy one get one free offer right now. You can also do a search and come up with either a free shipping code for over $99 or a 20% off coupon. You can only use one. For me it was better to use the 20% and pay the shipping. Like I said with tax and shipping it was only $12.66 a setting! Tomorrow starts a 25% off coupon but I was afraid that the BOGO deal would be gone.

Oh we live close, it is about 10 min from my house too. They have a biannual sale on their seconds where you get them for an additional 1/2 off... Seconds are already 1/2 off, so it is like paying 1/4 for them.

I just made a casserole this weekend in my square (don't know what it's officially called, square serving dish/casserole pan?), and it went from frig to oven to dishwasher nice as could be, and was so attractive for serving out of. I do LOVE the serving pieces!

I have all mishmashed colors, but my 99DGM has the "originals" (including the red, which she does NOT eat off of, promise), so I hope to inherit "someday"!

Love my Fiesta!

I have several of the sunflower pieces - they are they perfect yellow for a Mickey kitchen (and yellow is surpisingly hard to find!)

OP: Are other pieces on sale? Like the canister, sugar bowls, etc???

Yes, they are but I didn't think the prices were as good as the BOGO sets. Actually, I was on a mission tonight and ran by Kohls. They had my four colors and the prices of their serving platters and bowls were good...plus I had a 15% off coupon. So, I added two oval platters, two 1 quart bowls, and a few of those little fruit bowls... My kitchen table is going to look amazing! :upsidedow Now I just need someone to cook something so we can use the dishes! :lmao:
