Fiends that will be there MDGG...

Well, the camper and the truck are all loaded!! We're not leaving till Thursday, but rumor has it they're going to FINALLY finish our garage on Monday and start chopping up our driveway and pouring the new driveway on Tuesday and Wednesday, so I decided to bring the camper home and check all the systems and load her up this weekend. There is no way I can hook it up to electric if it's parked on the street. We're going to precool anything in our big fridge and just put it in the camper fridge right before we leave. We'll probably only eat one meal at the campsite anyway, so not much to keep cold anyway.

I'll have plenty of beer cooled so, no worries there Carol. It won't be Coors Lite - but you & Rick are welcome to some Ice House! Wine & Jose Quervo pre-mixed margaritas, too.

But what about the Rum? Nah- you'll have to hit Steve & Rene up for that. Maybe Capt. Jack Sparrow will bring some rum, too!

I found out that my Rick is taking Friday off, so I won't be driving solo. He wants me to drive & back just the same. That takes some of the worry off of me to have him along when I drive and park the first time. After that - I'll be a lot more comfortable taking the RV by myself. Whew!!!

Glad to hear that you'll have Rick along for your first backing up experience. (However, honestly, I do better backing when nobody is watching. I backed the camper in the driveway yesterday with no help. It took lots of inching back and forward, but I got her in there nice and straight. But it just seems easier when I don't have "help" making me nervous!!!)

The Fort is so nice and level though that I don't bother. I just disconnect and push her in!!!

Hmmm.... lets see.... I've got some beer, rum, daquari and pina colada mix, vodka, and Jack all ready to go gonna pick up some blackberry brandy this week for Kungaloosh too... I guess I should pack some food, but I'll do that on Wednesday

I'm trying to unload some stuff on Craigslist, so if I get enough extra cash up, I'll be heading over solo with the puppies on Thursday and Taz will bring the boys over after school on Friday Anyone interested in some tools or a stereo system

So far it seems like most ppl are interested in a Saturday meet up- so I guess thats what we'll aim for We can all meet up at our site Saturday- we wont be hard to find- it'll be the site that looks like the camper "threw up" everything!!!

It's kinda hard to push a 35K lb motor home!!

That reminds me of a bumper sticker I've seen on the back of some "toads" it says "I'm pushing this motor home as fast as I can" (or something to that effect).

We have a priority seating for Sunday night for a party of 6 at 8:45pm. Would two other couples like to join us?? (No, offense, but prefer adults only) We have Tables in Wonderland, so we can get 20% off the bill.

After that we'll probably go over to Magic Kingdom for late EMH.

With Rick's ECV, we'll have to take the big boat over to Magic Kingdom, then walk/roll back over to Contemporary.

Well, we have had a bit of a snag. Our old trusty tow vehicle is seriously ailing (white smoke - think a head gasket may have blown) so we made the call to get a new truck. Picked up a 2008 Ram 2500 Cummins last night. Now I have to get a brake controller installed before Friday. Fortunately it has 4k miles on it (demo) so no breaking it in before we tow.

Was wondering if anyone wanted to try and plan anything to hang out one day/evening/night whatever... this will be our first GG and we would love to meet everyone who will be there.

One thing DH and I were talking about was possibly setting up a night for everyone to meet up and have a few drinks/snacks whatever...

Would anyone be interested?

We will be arriving late on Friday the 22nd. We are not part of the MDGG, but would love to meet some Fort Fiends. Our plan is to hang out at the Fort all weekend, so Saturday night works for us. We will go Looping Friday to find the loop of the MDGG. Look forward to meeting everybody. We will have our green sign out on our Mickey lamp post.

Well just getting ready to head over today. But i might just have to cancel. The weather doesn't look like it is going to cooperate this weekend. If i go ahead and go it will rain like crazy and if i cancel it will be nice. go figure. Oh well i have a few hours to think it over. Just hate driving through orlando with the mh in the driving rain. then have to set up in the rain. Well that isn't a big deal but a least want to plug in elec and cable, everything else can wait until it quits pouring.

as long as we can get our camper out and its not pouring rain this afternoon- I'll be leaving here around 2... everyone cross their fingers that this storm goes far far away and doesnt come back!

We are leaving for FW around 1600 today. We should arrive about an hour later and have camp set up an hour after that. I hope the weather clears but Im hopeful, the forcast doesnt look all that bad and we can only get so wet.
