Fidelity

Welllll ,We did receive our contract yesterday ,dotted the I's and crossed the T's. Faxed it back with our deposit, and within an hour received a phone call from Sharon telling us that all the paperwork was together and being sent to Disney for ROFR..... All things considered that's pretty darn fast!!!:cool1:

I'm unfortunately a disappointed Fidelity almost-customer.

We found a listing we really liked for an add on...perfect use year, etc. (not a small contract, either) ...verified with Rachel via email that it was still available yesterday. She asked if she could help us with an offer. We sent an offer via email...didn't hear back. Sent another email last evening, no confirmation last night or today that she ever received our offer at all.

I left a voicemail today, still no response about whether our offer was presented at all.

I totally understand that they are swamped with everything that is going on, but we would have just liked someone to say...someone else beat us to it OR our offer was rejected OR something...anything.

It's frustrating.

That was our experience with Rachel as well. VERY slow response time if at all. I'm glad to know there is an alternative (Sharon) since they usually have a fair amount of listings.

Update: We did finally hear from Rachel, and the contract we are hoping for is still available. I think everyone is just swamped with the transactions as the March deadline approaches.

Fingers crossed that this offer works out for us!:wizard:

Just have to say, I just dealt with Rachel and everything went well. Signed papers last night and mailing them today. Hopefully just have to pass ROFR.

So far this week, this has been our experience with Fidelity is well. First listing we tried, they got back to us within 24 hrs but that one didnt work out. We put an offer in on another one on Sunday. Offered asking since the contract had everything we were looking for. Our contact forwarded the info to Rachel and now we havent heard anything back and now its listed as "sold" as of last night. Well does that mean our offer was accepted or has it been bought by someone else??

Its frustrating to say the least.

My suggestion:

In the subject line state "OFFER - TIME SENSITIVE"

and make the offer contingent upon Seller acceptance within 48 hours or 72 hours.

If the agents want a commission, yours will take priority over offers without response contingencies.

That's a great idea - I wish I'd thought of it myself this morning. I made an offer on an add-on contract with Rachel and haven't heard anything yet. I know it's only been about 6 hours, but I'm not a patient person. It would be nice to at least know if she was able to present the offer. So now I wait...:surfweb:

I had great experience with Rachel. The contract that we are interested in was already gone, but she gave me the one that might interest me in the phone. I made an offer and she called me back in less than 5 minutes with counter offer from seller. I made 'FINAL OFFER' and she actually called the seller while I was holding. Seller accepted and that's about it.

If you want to talk with someone, you can tell receptionist that you would wait (as I did) and just left the phone played the music in your speaker phone.... I talked with Rachel that way all the time...
She is helpful but I must say that Fidelity is really busy the past few weeks.....

Although I did not buy through Fidelity, I did talk with Sharon a few times about the contract I wanted. She tried to help me find something and I made an offer on one but it didn't work out. In the end, I made an offer through a different broker and got an accepted contract. But I really enjoyed dealing with Sharon as she is easy to talk to and is very attentive. I recommend you give her a try.

I bought my contract thru Fidelity (when it was GMAC) Jackie and Rachel worked with me thru the final closing. Looking back there were times I didn't feel they called me back as quickly as "I" wanted them too, when in actuality 24 hour turn around was just fine. It was my expectation that was probably over the top at the time because I was anxious!

Found an even better contract for us through them and still working with Rachel. She was very fast to get back to me during the contract negotiations.

Signed and returned our papers on Friday. Now just waiting to hear when it goes to ROFR. Will they let us know seeing how busy they are?
