Coldplay Kiss Cam Drama

I don't know of any place where there's severance when someone "voluntarily" resigns.
It happens a lot. They just aren't going to talk about it. It's part of making things go away and nobody suing.

My question is: If you are going to play "grab the boobs", why go to a place with over 66,000 people in attendance????

Their relationship is probably in the fairly new stage where they were acting like teenagers at a rock concert.

With virtually everyone having a cell phone camera nowadays, anyone who behaves inappropriately in public must be clueless. What if someone from their office recognized them and posted a similar type of picture?

Our company also has policies relating to office romance as some others have already described. She is apparently head of HR so clearly she should be aware of whatever policies their company has on this topic. "I didn't know" wouldn't be an acceptable answer.

I think it would be hilarious if Motel 6 started running an ad that said,

"We're a cliche and a classic for a reason. No kiss cams here, and no one here who cares about your business. Plus, we'll leave the light on for you!"

I don't know if they can use that line any more. Looked it up and apparently they can, but I doubt that Tom Bodett wants back unless ownership changes hands again.

I would think this would more like Southwest Airlines's "Wanna Get Away?"

IKR? He was groping her. Anyone could have seen them, I guess they live in that town. Neighbors, friends of his wife/her husband, coworkers, family etc.

It's kind of weird when someone chooses to resign in the face of pressure to do so before being fired for cause. I suppose a lot of it would be that being fired for cause might be an issue in future employment, although in this case I can't imagine that any future employer wouldn't find out about this incident, especially not for a C-suite position where they'll research his history. I've even filled in some employment applications where one of the categories was about resigning under pressure to do so, although I have no idea how anyone finds out given how most employers have policies that they don't disclose the reason for termination. Or don't say anything other than someone's time at the company and job titles.

I would think he's entitled to whatever accumulated vacation time he has.

I've been laid off before where I got extended medical benefits and severance. But at the very least I could honestly say that I wasn't terminated for cause and still got a fairly generous severance package.
Executives in the c-suite aren’t regular salaried employees usually. They have contracts and in those contracts are golden parachutes where they get money regardless of how they screw up.

Sure. But they can still be fired, but doing so comes at a cost to the company. I remember hearing "don't ever quit" if there's severance and other benefits involved.

When someone is "forced to resign" it sounds more like something that's supposed to maintain one's dignity at the cost of losing some (or lots of) benefits.
