We are leaving on May 3rd and was wondering about when we should hear about the Magic Express? Does it automatically come in the mail with instructions or do I have to call? Also, with a 4 year old still in a car seat what does everyone do about that for the bus ride?

We got our luggage tags about 10 days before our trip. It will come with a booklet explaining everything. If you have any questions, make sure you post here and we'll explain it to you.

Don't worry about a car seat for your 4 year old. There were babies on the bus and the parents just held them. I don't think they would even allow a carseat on the bus.

Thanks so much! Do I have to call them at all or will the booklet come automatically?

You DO need to make reservations for DME. Once you have reservations, your DME materials will be "automatically" sent to you, usually no sooner than 3 weeks prior to departure.

If you have a 4 year old and aren't renting a car, IMHO you should leave your car seat at home. It can't be used on DME buses or Disney Transport buses, and is pretty unneccesary for the plane ride, too. A 4 year old is plenty big enough to be properly protected with the lap belt on the airline seat.

Thanks I will call tomorrow, do you know who I am supposed to call about ME?
Thanks for the thought about the car seat. We are renting a car so unfort. we need to bring a seat plus 2 booster seats. My 4 year old is short and only 28 lbs so we have a way to go. Thanks!

You might want to check with your car rental company. You may be able to rent a car seat and 2 booster seats from them. That will save you from having to lug them to and from the airports.
As to the size of your 4yo. We took our GS with us in Dec 2004 when he was just over 3yo and had no problems with him on the plane without a carseat, but we did get really lucky. He slept thru every flight. He fell asleep within minutes of takeoff and did not wake up until we got to the gate to depart, and we didn't give him any medication. We don't believe in giving, or taking, any medication if there is no real medical reason to do so.
