We aren't parade people but my daughter has been obsessed with this parade from watching YouTube videos. I'm looking for advice. Is it worth it? Best place to find a spot without waiting too much longer than 30 minutes. We are going in 2 weeks!

My wife and I love the parade! We're annual passholders so we can spend more time waiting for a great spot (Main Street train station, second floor in the shade with a chair), but that requires closer to an hour and a half of waiting.

Sometimes we've gotten lucky in Frountierland closer to the start of the route with a shady spot, but I've seen most of those good spots require 45 minutes. Granted, these experiences are on the weekend. It may be a different story during the week.

If you are in Frountierland and like the parade, you can cut through Adventureland and past the Crystal Palace and Casey's Corner to catch it again near the Main Street roundabout at the front of the park!

Have fun!!

A look at the MK Parade Route (and the "cut trough" cross-overs to Adventureland.)

Yes, the new 3 O'Clock Parade (Festival of Fantasy) starts near Spalsh Mtn. and exits near the Firehouse.

Disney's (MS) Electrical Parade starts near the Firehouse and exits near Splash Mtn.

Less crowded than on Main Street, but still spectacular viewing can be found near the Hall of Presidents,
or deep into Frontierland, past the Country Bears.

I don't think it is really a recommended way to use a FP, but are you aware you can use FP+ to get into a reserved viewing area? Just throwing it out there. I did it for the electrical parade and I will be reserving all my parades now (I only do kiddie rides anyway). I got to sit down (everyone sat on the ground this time) and it was nice and stress free. I had plenty of space to stretch out.

For the parade?

For the FIREWORKS, yes.
First time I've seen that everyone sat and stretched out on the sidewalk in the FP+ area for the parade.

Yes this was under 2 weeks ago. Maybe I just had a lucky day with lots of other people who had tired feet. The CMs didnt tell people to sit it just happened. It was nice. This was the electrical parade though. Either way, I really enjoyed knowing there was a reserved spot waiting for me. This is how I'll be doing parades from now on. Standing or sitting, it's way better than being shoved and elbowed!

People start filing into the FP+ spot around 2:35, and since the parade doesn't get to the hub until 3:15ish. You end up sitting in the blazing sun for a fairly long time in that spot. Just something to think about.

We saw Festival of Fantasy for the first time in mid - May - LOVED it!!! So much so that we saw it 3 times during our stay - two of those times with FP+.

We think it is well worth a FP although Missy is right - it is in the blazing sun. However the area is not crowded and pictures taken with the castle in the background are really wonderful!
