Festival bay, any sign of it opening?

Hi All

Anyone heard if there's any news of this new shopping place opening? It sounds fab, we'll be there from 24th March till 3rd April and are hoping it will be open by then.

Festival Bay was open when we went last August - although apart from a few clothing shops Ron Jons and a huge Outdoor centre there wasnt a great deal in there.

presumably occupancy has increased since last summer.

Festival Bay has been open some time, we visited in April last year, only a couple of shops open then. We visited again in November and although more shops were open it was by no means full.

Very few people around.

Have just looked up me Brits Guide and saw that the new phase was due to open April 2003! DOH! We didn't know this was opened last time we visited, I guess i was just tooooo excited about Mall at Millenia opening

We spent half an hour walking around last May. Ron Jon's was being fitted and there was no water in the indoor section of the 'pool'. The Bass Pro shop has been there for years and the mall has been built around it. That place is amazing - I've never seen anything like it. Boats, guns, mounted mousse heads, an enormous aquarium with the most incredible fish, hydration bladder for your hunting dog (obviously).

We paid another visit in January on the offchance that more traders might have moved in, but there wasn't much change. The water had arrived, but not much else.

Think Festival Bay has become a bit of a lame duck really.

Seems to be taking ages for new shops to be added.
Have never been in any of the stores yet but will probably visit Ron Jon's next month, wasn't open on our last visit.
