Hi all! I know this just started but does anyone have more information about this? How was the view from the lagoon? How were the desserts? I totally was NOT going to do this, but I went and actually booked it today for April. I'm wondering if it's going to be worth the money…it's quite expensive! Thanks! Also, does anyone have any pictures to share?

I believe WDW prep school did a review. She said there was nowhere to sit but they do have a bathroom on board. Seems overpriced for what it is to me. I would rather get dinner at the California Grill and take in the view from there for that money.

How did you book it for April? I called about it today and was told that at this time they have no dates past the end of December and to try agin after the first of the year.

I booked online. I did a search, selected my date and booked it. They even charged my credit card already so I know it went through.

I did a free preview of it in Sept. through DVC and really enjoyed it since it was free. I would not pay the price they are asking for it. There are a few benches. They use the ferry boats that go from TTC to MK. I loved the view of the fireworks. Desserts were pretty good. There is alcohol on board no idea really what since I am pregnant so I didn't pay attention. Soda, punch, water also. There is also some frozen novelties.

At check in everyone got a light up glass to keep, err plastic and they are cheap. Kids got a light up necklack which is nice and has batteries.

I felt the overall atmosphere geared more toward the adult crowd. Their is nothing really for little kids.

Its fun, would be a nice date thing but personally just way overpriced, and I am one that will pay for things sometimes when I feel its worth it.

Feel free to ask any questions you have :)

Here are some pictures:

A few days ago I checked online and didn't see any dates past December so I called and asked when the dates would be available. I was told to check back after the new year. This morning after reading this post I checked online again and was able to book the day that I wanted.

My guess is that there was a glitch in the website and that the CM I talked to didn't bother to check the information. She heard me say that there was nothing past December so that must mean the new dates would be released in January. Thanks for your post. If I would have waited most likely the dates I wanted would have been filled.

I was on the DVC preview as well. It was fine but way way overpriced. It was too long with nothing to do. There was only one dessert that we should be to excellent. Most were just the usual mediocre Disney desserts. There are the usual benches that are on the ferry but nothing extra was brought in other than the few cocktail tables.

It also seemed that as soon as the fireworks were done they were pushing you off the ferry. In a nice Disney way with ice cream and balloons but it was kind of abrupt. It felt like a lot of waiting for fireworks the quick get off the boat.

We also had an issue that was odd with the cast members. We were told to arrive at 7:45. We got stuck on the monorail so we didn't get there until a few minutes before 8. The email confirmation said the boat would leave around 8:15 so we weren't too concerned. As soon as we walked up the CMs kept saying we better hurry up you almost missed it, etc. They kept saying it over and over. Then they wouldn't let us get on the ferry because they were trying to find us the cheap light up wine glass. Finally a manager came over and told us to board the ferry. It was all kind of weird and we weren't upset and were happy to do what was asked. Then the ferry didn't leave until 8:15 so there was plenty of time. It was just kind of odd and didn't really start the night off right. Hopefully they have this part worked out by now.

We would spend the money doing a private Wishes cruise over this.

Its been my experience that CMs on the phone will tell you anything to "solve" your dilemma. I am thinking that they are focused on what you are likely to say in the survey after your call and their goal is to get you off the phone thinking that they helped you. They are unwilling to check their facts with someone else and so they just make stuff up. There have been several times I have had to call in the past year where I was given information I knew wasn't true.

They really should charge the adult price for those 21 and over who can actually drink alcohol. We will be passing on this it almost makes the Wishes Dessert Party seem like a bargain-LOL

My ferry over to MK today actually played the music track from Wishes. It was a little weird hearing it in the middle of the morning, when the sun was out.

That's all I've got to add to this.

Thank you, everyone! I actually ended up cancelling this today (before I even read that horrid review!). I just don't think it's a good value for us. My mom and I don't drink and, obviously, the kids don't either :). I ended up just booking the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party, which seems like a bargain now! We did it last year and loved it but I wasn't sure if I wanted to shell out double the money...which makes no sense, considering I would have paid twice as much for the cruise!

Anyway, there are 4 open spots on the April 7th cruise if anyone is interested ;)

Well I guess I'm in the minority but I enjoyed the cruise, it's a little pricey for kids but I don't think it is geared for them. They did have a kids activity using black light flashlights that kids seemed to be enjoying. It's not something I'd do every year, but it was fun.

I will have to be in the minority here and say how much DH and I enjoyed the cruise last week. We are people who don't spend needlessly, but we thought it was a fun time. I would not bring kids but it is a good date night. The food was good, the flourless chocolate cake especially, and it was nice to have a few glasses of wine. We also liked that it was limited in number so you could easily walk around. It was a beautiful night and we met some nice folks as well. Also nice that Disney had buses at the end to take you back to your resort, like they do after HDDR.
Maybe a bit overpriced but we definitely we're glad we did it.

We just did this tonight...and we enjoyed it.

No one has (yet) mentioned the pin...we received a special pin along with our light-up necklace, and light-up glass.

The pin is pretty cool...enjoyed the desserts...had plenty of spaces to sit on the benches...kids were given flashlights to hunt hidden Mickeys onboard...great view of the fireworks. It's a bit overpriced, but we would do it again.
