After hemming and hawwing, and researching for weeks:

I bought my Crocs and wore them 7p-7a Friday night. I have worn: New Balance, Dansko's, and Birkinstocks in my career as a RN. I have miserable flat, wide feet. Plantar Fascities is my bane. After working a 12 hour my heels and arches burn, and my calves ache. When I sleep off my 12 hour night I am woke up by cramps in my feet and legs.

Enter my bright pink Crocs!

No pain. None. No burning, cramping, nothing! I slept 6 hours after working without waking. These are the best shoes I have ever worn. In 24 hours I have convinced nearly 10 people to buy the shoe. :thumbsup2

I am spreading it like the gospel: Crocs Rock!

Lotta Croc fans here......I'm one of them. A teacher's best friend! Great for wide feet, I agree! :thumbsup2

I love my Crocs too! However, I have noticed they are starting to rub me on the top of my foot. Easily fixed with a pair of socks.

I've never tried Crocs but I've worn rubber clogs to work for almost 20 years now and my legs rarely ache either. They last forever, too. :goodvibes

LOL, I just posted this comment on another thread where a women thought her husband wouldn't were them because he thought they were for women ...

"My dad was in the hospital just before Christmas and I was amazed at how many employees had Croc's on, especially in the ER. I'm talking men, women, Dr.'s, nurses orderlies, everyone. My dad's two surgeons (both men) came in to talk to us after the surgery and they both had them on. If he has foot problems you should just buy some for him, I bet if his feet feel good afterward he won't even care."

Anyone have the Thongs and are they just a comfortable as the other styles?
I haven't bought any yet, but I think I see a pair in my not too distant future.

What kind did you buy? I wear Quark rubber clogs by nurse mates and have for well over 5 years now...love them. But my feet get so hot as there are no vents. I've tried on a pair or 2 of Croc's but they feel soooo big on my feet. I wear a 7.5 and was afraid my feet would get blistered just from them being so danged big.
Opinions?

I have an order in for 2 pairs of the flip flops at No Fear Gear, and when they come in, I'll let you know.

Thanks, and if you could tell me if they seem to run a bit on the small or large side that would be very much appreciated. I guess I'm going to have to order them online also. I saw them on the Nordstrom website yesterday and since my DD was there shopping I called and told her to pick up a pair for me, but they didn't have any in the store. She checked one other store at the mall that carries Croc's and they didn't have that style in stock either :confused3. So I look forward to your shoe review ;).

TIA,
Alice

I bought Crocs yesterday and wore them to the hospital for a dr. appt. this morning. I was in a small office, so I didn't see any other Crocs besides mine. Both the nurse and doctor commented on the Crocs and said that they are very popular in the ER and surgery areas of the hospital.

Crocs are not supposed to fit like other shoes. Your foot should fit in the footbed of the shoe without really touching the sides (sounds weird, I know). Crocs.com has information on how to choose a size:

Right, but I'm interested in the flip flop (Thong) style. There aren't really any sides to touch anyway. Have you tried the "Thongs" on? I'm not sure you could wear them too loose or you would walk out of them.

Good color choice - I have the same ones. :thumbsup2

I could use them, I seem to have plantar fasciitis myself. However, I've got a narrow foot and I know they'll fly off my feet while walking. Everything else does if they aren't laced up. :teeth:

You're welcome.

My DD18 was horrified when I first bought Crocs - she told me I'd crossed over to the dark side! However, not too long ago she grudingly told me that they'd become "kind of endearing". :rotfl: She's even considering buying a pair herself for her restaurant job, but I can tell the thought is killing her. :lmao:

Thanks for the sizing link! (http://www.crocs.com/products/footwear/sizing.jsp)

According to these guidelines, I think I bought the wrong size of croc.

I wear a 6 1/2. I tried on the med. size (8-10), and my foot swam in it. I tried on the small size (6-7) and the fit is OK. Just OK. My feet do touch the sides and my toe lightly touches the front of the shoe. I bought the small, thinking they'd stretch and thinking that the shoes would be flopping around too much if I bought the medium.

That said, I wore the small crocs all day yesterday (with socks--it's cold here) and they felt fine!

I want to get a pink pair. I'm not sure if I should get another small or move up to a medium and see if if they do flop too much. :confused3

Did you get then yet? I have looked everywhere for them. I guess I'm going to have to order them too. Wouldn't you think they would have them available in the stores :confused3
