Do you use it? Do you like it? Does it not work? Is it better than regular litter? Any comments, thoughts, raves, or rants about it?

We've always used regular litter but I am so sick and tired of the dust, the smell, and the dogs eating it. LOL

I am considering using the feline pine but here it costs almost twice as much. If its that good, it will justify the price, but I am wondering if its any good before I go buy it.

I was able to try it with a mail in rebate, also I would suspect if you try it and dislike it that Petco & Petsmart would take a return like they do on the food. I have never returned litter--I always took opened bags to the shelter.

<----This guy is allergic to pretty much every litter, it took us 3 years to figure it out. Normal litter made him sneeze like a maniac. He did okay with the Pine stuff, but we had the best result with and now use Yesterday's News. It is litter that is made of compressed newspaper turned into pellets. It does not have any smell, nor do we have any dust issues.

I did a lot of research on feline pine last year when my cat had a wound on his paw that wouldn't heal and he was getting the regular litter stuck in there. I did buy a bag of feline pine, but the cost was something like $50/ month for my 2 cats. I read online that feline pine is just the pellets used for pellet stoves with pine scent sprayed on it. I bought 1 bag of stove pellets for $25 last year that I just used up. It's the best litter we've ever used. Absolutely no smell at all and so inexpensive! I did mix my cats regular litter and the pellets together for a week or two to get them used to it.

We liked Feline Pine but now we use the Tidy Cat Breeze system & love it.

I second for the recycled newspaper product!! Except I don't use Yesterday's News- it is too expensive for me. I use a brand they sell at WalMart. It lasts way longer than you would think. And I haven't smelled a urine odor at all.

I did not like Feline Pine. I thought it made a disgusting looking clump when it got wet. Not that ANY litter looks good wet- I just remember thinking that there wasn't anything about it that made it worth buying again. (It was dust free, though!)

We usually get the generic pet store brand because it's usually a couple of bucks cheaper than Feline Pine and it works just as good. I like it because there is no smell at all.

This is a great idea. I'm going to check out the pellets at my local Home Depot next time I need to buy cat litter. Thanks for the heads up :thumbsup2

I'm going to tell my mom about this-- she's sick of the dust from regular kitty litter! Thanks!!

The feline pine that I picked up isn't pellets, its shavings of wood. Where did you get pellets? Also, what brand of stove pellets do you use?

We use the Arm & Hammer Essentials Natural Clumping litter. It's made with corn fibers and smells wonderful. It doesn't kick up any dust but it does track a little. Not nearly as much as the dust litters though. We used Yesterdays News pellets when the cats had surgery but I personally didn't like it. It would stink after a couple uses and was a pain to scoop. It just seems like it waste more litter than the others. I took me trying different brands before finally settling on the one we use now.

The original feline pine I bought at Wal Mart. It was a very small bag. We bought the stove pellets at Home Depot. Sorry, don't remember what brand. We took them out of the original bag and store them in a bin by the litter box. This is one of those great money savers (like homemade laundry detergent),That is so easy and saves substantial $$$. Now that I'm thinking about it, we've saved over $500 this year over the cost of the feline pine! And Wal Mart was the cheapest place I could find it.

Feline Pine has two versions of their litter. One is pellet form (that is the original one) and one that is shavings. I've always used the pellet form.

We use the scoopable feline pine (shavings, not pellets). It's still dusty but not quite as bad as regular litter. Doesn't track everywhere either.

We have found it lasts longer than regular litter (you don't lose as much when you scoop) so the price evens out in the end.

I tried the Feline Pine and didn't really like it.

I also use the Tidy Cats Breeze system now and love it. So simple and we never had cat box odors now.

We tried it years ago and disliked it.

Poop could be scooped but any pee turned the feline pine to sawdust type stuff. Impossible (or almost) to scoop (it fell through the scooper holes).

I gave the rest of our bag away. Another friend wanted to try it - she hated it too. I can't recommend it.

wE HAVE A LITTER TRAINED BUNNY, AND THIS IS THE ONLY THING THAT i WILL USE. iT VIRTUALLY ELIMINATES the smell (sorry for all caps). If you want to scoop though, dont buy this. I just dump everything out each time.

We mix the Feline Pine clumping with S'Wheet and it works great. No dust and no smell. Many cats do not like the pellet Feline Pine. It hurts their paws and they wind up going outside the box.

Another Tidy Cat Breeze believer! We don't have any odor, and the weekly clean up is so so much easier! We have 3 cats and 3 breeze boxes. Works great! I just wish there was a lower cost alternative for the pads and pellets. Our pellets do last longer than 1 month.. the pads only last a week.:hippie:

We've used the Tidy Cat Breeze for over a year. Love it! Just wish pads were cheaper and easier to find. Walmart used to carry them here. Now I have to hit the pet store.
