As some of y'all may know, we are going 12/28-1/6. Part of our trip, 12/30-1/2, will be spent at the ESPN WWOS for a soccer event. We will at least have two full days before the games start but I don't want my dd to be too tired to play so hoping to kind of take it easy those two days.
In our package we have 5-day PH tickets. I am guessing that we will have some time in the parks after soccer games, I just can't plan too much in the parks w/out knowing our schedule. I'm guessing the game schedules won't be out until 2 weeks before the event. This is making me feel very unprepared and just lost about our trip!! As of right now, I only have things scheduled for after the games and just chalking the tournament days as "bonus" days.

I know I can add days to our park tickets pretty inexpensively and I am prepared to spend that if we do have more time to hit the parks during the soccer games.

Please tell me this isn't going to be the most stressful and horrible WDW trip!!! Any tips to help make planning with two week's notice less stressful!

What about apps? I keep hearing about some great apps to monitor lines and wait times. Which ones are the best?

Those first two days are going to be VERY crowded. Since you want to take it easy, I'd make one of those days at AK which will be the least crowded, but that is relative; it will still be crowded. Plan your FP+ in such a way that you don't do any back track walking and have the shows interspersed for good breaks. EP would be a good park for the other one just because of it's size. I think I might spend the day in Future World and then maybe catch some of the Holiday storytellers in WS.

As to the tournament days, if they line up right, just go in for dinner and the nighttime entertainment. Plan the days after the tournament the way you normally would.
