The last two years we have gone to Orlando for our "big" vacation. Last December we decided that we were going to Atlantis this year, at the time seemed like a good idea, and don't get me wrong I am really looking forward to 10 days in tropical paradise. But reading all the Disney tips here and trip reports I am really missing Disney. Wife thinks I am going crazy with my Disney obsession. Just needed to vent this AM, hope you lucky ones have a great trip.......as if it's possible to not have a good time in Orlando.

HockeyDad - it's time to start planning your next big vacation to WDW, even if it's not for another year or two! I think it's great to vacation in other parts of the US/world, and I would never vacation only at WDW. But having a WDW trip "down the road" to look forward to will help lift your spirits. :)

Having a trip "in the works" is all I need to get my Disney fix... even if that trip isn't for months or (gasp!) years down the road. It's the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel :)

Disnee Dad Says........................................Come on, who runs your family? My family vacations where I want, when I want, as long as I agree with their choices!!!

It's a little early for me to start planning our next trip, it will be summer of 2004. Next year we are taking the kids to Greece. I really am looking forward to your vacations both this year and next, but when you come here and read about Disney stuff, it just makes me ready for "that" trip. What is it about walking through the gates of the MK and looking down main street.

Playing Disney music always takes me back.......I especially like the Millennium Celebration CD (OK it was Epcot, but still magical). Maybe looking at your photos and videos of MK will help. Your upcoming vacations sound great, look forward to them as well...it's all about making memories with the family.

Well, ya know, you could always plan the romantic "surprise" disney trip for just you and your wife for a long weekend.......... and if that doesn't work, usually hinting about a weekend for your b-day, Father's Day or flag day might work!!! ............. of course, if you're on a business trip, you could have your secretary route your flight through Orlando, and miss your connecting flight....... ahhhhhhhhh- how the mind works when your desperate for Disney!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

You guys are so hilarious!! I'm just so glad that I am not the only one experiencing DWS (Disney Withdrawal Syndrome)! LOL!

Our last (and only, so far) trip was last august (2001) and since then I have meen moping around and wishing I could go back. I wear something "Mickey" every day and try to have a "Mickey Moment" every day.

My hubby finally said the other day that we should plan a trip for next year for just the two of us (no kids). You can believe that I jumped right on to the internet to start planning!:) Now we are going to go back in June 2003. We have decided to take my sister as a college graduation gift, but the kids are still staying home!

For me planning the trip is almost as much fun as the trip itself. So I have a whole year to plan this trip, so I know it will be perfect!

I do envy you the trips you are taking, though. Sounds like the closest thing to heaven (after WDW, of course).

Good luck.

Lola

Disnee Dad Says................................It's not too soon to start planning! We are planning to go to the new park at Disneyland when it opens in 2009, 2010,or 2011!!! They still have to design it,give it a name and build it!! That makes it hard for hotel reservations!!!!! LOL;):jester:
