Feeling Hot Hot Hot! The Rain Curse is Broken! Two Weeks of Fun in the Sun! COMPLETE

Those games at SE look interesting !! I never seem to stop and try those when I am solo but I really think Kyle would enjoy them !!!
The Pool Party seemed like a lot of fun too!!

I'm glad you really got to play those Spaceship Earth games! I should try those next time! I just have no interest when it's crowded :headache: Maybe they're open during EMH... that's when I should play them! I want to try the evaluation game, it looks fun!
It also sounds like you had a fun time at the pool! Haha random people joining in is always a little awkward  But it sounds like you made the best of it!

It was a nice way to pass the time especially if you are taking a more relaxed approach to park touring. :thumbsup2

I wouldn't call it a pool party but we did have fun! ;)

We were lucky and it wasn't too crowded in there, maybe because it was later in the day?

 Random people are okay and we are friendly enough so we didn't really mind, those two were just a little strange, wouldn't have been so bad if the girl hadn't been constantly screeching at her brother. Then again, I'm pretty sure most people think we are strange so who am I to judge?

We never stop for that stuff in SE, will have to do that next year. Even though we are only going be in DIsney for 4 days, it's going to be a very relaxed trip.

Glad you guys took the time to enjoy the games at the end of SpaceShip Earth. DH and I love the power the city game and get really competitive. We've tried lots of different strategies in order to power the largest city, but we've never achieved the top tier. I think its rigged! ;)

A little pool time never hurts, good to see it erased any trace of bad moods!

I have never tried the games at Spaceship Earth before, but it sounds like another area that my brother and I can compete in. :lmao:

Oh, I sympathize with you and the camera incident. I had one with my brother too. He didn't hide it intentionally or anything, but he basically made it seem like it was lost, and the entire time it was in his bag because he didn't search it well enough. I was running around the restaurant, to the stroller, to the hostess at the restaurant just trying to find it. I felt so dumb in the end when it was in his bag the whole time and he just hadn't looked hard enough.

We had a lot of fun playing all the games, it was a great way to kill time.

 Erich and I also tried so hard to get the top rank but alas we did not. I think we did pretty well though. ;)

Sibling rivalry is always fun. :thumbsup2

 At least your camera incident was an honest mistake, Erich was just being mischievous!

I LOVE SPACESHIP EARTH! That whole place is pretty awesome. I remember we went on that many times during my first trip and spent a ton of time in Project Tomorrow (the game area after the ride). I don't think we played the same games as you, but I know we played the energy one, though I think you did better than us. It is really fun! And you get so involved in it Hahahaha A great place to stop at. :thumbsup2 And I love how the ride now has more "Your Future" variations. And how ironic you guys got the exact same futures Haha (: Sorry about your little camera search thing. That must've been very frustrating, but at least it wasn't lost. :teeth:

Sounded like you ended off the day nicely. Always fun to make friends in Disney :D And I love the video, that guy had perfect timing :thumbsup2 Hahahaha Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

Hmmmm... I'll have to check the games out at the end of SE. now that we've been enough times to have been on all the rides several times, I like being able to sit down and watch the Jamminators or play a few games. It really rounds out the whole trip. Not to mention pool time is that best! :thumbsup2

I also want to check out the China show now.

It was frustrating, especially as Erich knew where it was the whole time!

It is nice when you no longer fell the need to rush around and pack everything in.

May 15th

I did not sleep well, during the night there was a crazy storm. I woke up around 2:30 to the sound of the thunder booming away. The storm was so strong that I could swear I felt the room shaking. This went on for awhile before I fell back to sleep. Luckily that was the only time I woke up that night and was able to sleep until the alarm woke up in the morning.

Mom and I woke up early and tried to quietly get ready for the day. Alek and Erich were sleeping in while Mom and I planned to get to Epcot for rope drop so we could enjoy the Flower and Garden Festival without boring Alek and Erich. We had arranged to meet them at 11:30 for our lunch ADR.

I decided to grab breakfast at the Pepper Market instead of eating in the room, again trying not to disturb Alek and Erich.

The Pepper Market is a cross between a table service and a food court. If you choose to dine in at The Pepper Market a host takes you to a table and a server brings you your drinks, you then go up to various stations to order your food. You are given a card that is stamped with the item ordered. After you eat you go up to a cash and hand over your card and you are required to pay an 10% gratuity. You can avoid this required gratuity by asking for a take-out card. The process for ordering your food is the same and you do not have to pay the gratuity since you are not using a table and getting "served".

Mom and I decided to go with the take-out option, there are plenty of tables out by the water and there are also tables across from The Pepper Market in Club Rix that can be used.

I ordered a kid's meal as it was the only way to get Mickey waffles. It came with two Mickey waffles, grapes and a chocolate milk. After I paid for my food I took it over to one of the tables in Club Rix.

The food was fresh and delicious, who doesn't love Mickey waffles?!

It was a gorgeous day and the resort looked beautiful in the morning sun. I wish we had had more time to linger and take pictures but then we would have missed rope drop. These are some of my favourite pictures of the resort.

We arrived at Epcot just before 9am and so we were able to proceed directly into the park. My goal that morning was to take lots of pictures of the festival and to visit the Character Connection as I knew Alek and Erich would not want to later in the day.

The Toy Story display was cute but I think the Princess display in 09 was nicer. That is just personal preference though as I know many people loved the Toy Story display.

We of course had to stop for photopass!

I saw that Daisy was out for pictures so Mom and I went over to greet her. I would not usually bother with characters so early in the day as usually I head straight for the rides to avoid long lines. This morning though we were not planning on going on rides so crowds were not a concern and we were planning on leisurely strolling around the park.

Rope Drop was over by the time we made our way past Spaceship Earth. This was great as we did not have people getting in the way while we took pictures of the topiaries since they were all rushing over to Soarin and Test Track.

It was a beautiful day and I was looking forward to a relaxing morning.

I love the idea of walking around the F&G festival and just taking in the sights. It looked like a beautiful day to do it too.

Looks like you had a great day for just stopping to smell the roses (there were roses right?)! :goodvibes I must give a :thumbsup2 to the Mickey Waffles. With those, your breakfast taste buds will never be the same hahaha And I love the pictures of the resort across the water, so pretty :D

The topiaries look as beautiful as ever. I love the Toy Story display (though I never saw the 2009 display, just the 2010, which I've forgotten what that was hahahaha), especially with the alphabet blocks, saying "Thanks for visiting the Flower & Garden Festival!" very inventive :teeth:

Can't wait to read about the rest of your relaxing morning in EPCOT! :mickeyjum

Lessa, your early morning pictures of the CSR are beautiful. :thumbsup2

And how great that you got "unobstructed" photos of the topiaries which are great.

By the way, it is a 10% gratuity at the Pepper Market, not 18%...for those who are not aware.

I agree Lessa the Flower Topiaries of teh Princess' in 2009 were better!! You also made a decision for me !!! I had contemplated eating at PepperMarket with teh Family this month ( Oh Yea it is this month) but the gratuity has decided it will be WPE in Downtown Disney!!!

 Actually we didn't spend too much time around the roses.

Thanks!

Oops! Went back and fixed that, guess I am used to reading about the 18% gratuity required for large parties at table service restaurants.

:thumbsup2 Although your mind may still change!

to bad the pasta wasnt that good, it looked pretty good in the picture.

and that is a fun pool to play in, we had a blast there when we stayed.

the food at the pool was pretty good as well, we ate there a few times, since it was alot closer to our room than walking to the market.

Aaaccckkk! I can't believe I let myself get so far behind! But, I'm caught up now, and all is well!!:thumbsup2

I've always wanted to do the Pick a Pearl in Japan, so I loved reading about yours. Maybe one day I'll actually get around to doing it!

I thought it was really sweet that you let the little girl help with the Kimpossible Mission! Very nice!!

I loved the PhotoPass pics across the lagoon in Epcot...those were awesome!

Wow, you got some really good shots of all the topiaries! That was a great idea to go there just for that! I loved seeing all of them!

When we stayed at CSR a few years ago, I was royally confused by Pepper Market. It seemed that I could never get it right, so we mostly just skipped it in favor of eating something in the parks.

You took some great topiary pictures, next year I'll be sure to do better! I must have been so busy rushing into the park I really didn't get a good look at them at all. :sad2:

So nice to have a relaxing morning! I'm sure your mom and you enjoyed some nice time together and I'm sure the bros enjoyed sleeping in!
