Feeling Hot Hot Hot! The Rain Curse is Broken! Two Weeks of Fun in the Sun! COMPLETE

Loved the Mexican Duo !!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:Boys after my own heart !!:rotfl2:The sombero its them just like they do me !! :lmao:

Phoey on the Lady !!! When I get mad and do use bad words at work my staff crack up cuz they say it even sounds sophisticated with my english accent :lmao::lmao:In fact I think they egg me on just to have a good laugh!!:rotfl2:

 People outside of my family are always shocked when I swear, I guess it is due to that "innocent" image I project.

Really? Was the kid school age? Probably heard worse there. I understand her point of not wanting her kid to hear.say those words, but lady....then you TEACH them what's right and what's not. I've dropped a word or two in front of Jimmy and then I'm like oops, sorry. Nope don't say that it's not nice.

Not sure how old the kid was, Alek and I didn't see the whole thing go down since we were in the back, we mostly heard about it from Mom and Erich after the ride. Yep, I can understand a parent not wanting their kid to hear bad language but it slipped out of his mouth and wasn't all that bad. In my opinion "pissed" is not that terrible of a word. Definitely didn't deserve the death glare that she gave him. Maybe if he had said it several times or was cussing a storm but for a one word slip that wasn't that bad. :confused3

And you are right, that is where parenting comes in. Growing up I heard all sorts of stuff at school and other places.

Glad you liked it Rosie. I had the pictures in photobucket already and since I had just posted about the Italy pavilion I thought that I would share. :goodvibes
You answered my question.
I was in Italy in 1994 and I hated lugging around my heavy camera and the obnoxious film. You have great pictures. What airline did you use, when you went to Italy. We flew TWA-which is now a defunct airline or was bought out by another, who knows.

Just got home from Canada. We were in Edmunton, just North of Calgary. It was work related for my dh job. I never knew oil could be taken out of sand. Um, love your Country, but thank goodness it is my pick for our next vacation. Did I mention we drove? 3 days from Wisconsin. 12 hours of driving each day.

I'm pretty sure we flew Lufthansa, that was so long ago so I am not sure.

I hope you enjoyed your trip. I've never been to Edmonton, did you go to the big mall? That is pretty much all I know about the city, of yeah, and it gets freaking cold in the winter, brrr!

 People outside of my family are always shocked when I swear, I guess it is due to that "innocent" image I project.

LOL this always happens to me too :lmao: Oh that lady... don't give it a second thought. Some people are just annoying.

Love the Mexico and China pictures! Seeing the storm pictures just reminded me of all of my august disney trips... we never failed to get stuck in a rainstorm :rotfl: Good times.

 It seems as though Mexico was full of grumpy people while we were there.

I know well what it is like getting rained on nonstop at Disney. Luckily this would be the only day we had the pesky problem of rain.

Love the update! I've never seen the china movie. When we tour the world showcase, it always rains. Well, always in the last two trips. :lmao: usually we go through until we can't stand it any longer and the kids are starting to rebel by touching everything and then we head back to future world. This is a shame because I adore the WS!!! I would be perfectly happy browsing all day.

The word "pissed" does not need a glare. I admit that I have turned around or glanced at someone dropping the f bomb or repeated swearing. Sophie once got pulled aside by her teacher because she said "fricken.". She was tattled on and to this day adamantly denies it. She was crying SO hard about it at school that her teacher had to take her away from the class to comfort her. Her teacher felt bad telling us about it! It taught Scott and I that we need to watch our language. We arent swearers, but do use replacement words like fricken. I think we have stopped that for the most part. We tease her about it still. She's old enough now to laugh about (this happened when she was in kindergarten). She's going into 3rd grade and that was the only time I ever got pulled aside for a behavior issue. She's been on "green" every day of her entire school career thus far (even for that issue). Never even getting in trouble for talking. :lovestruc. Sorry for hijacking your TR for bragging about my kid. Self psycho-analysis suggests perhaps I am feeling the need to share perfect behavior because I am feeling guilty about the fricken incident. :rotfl:

There are alot of bad words that aren't allowed in our household. Shut up and stupid are among them. My 7 year old would have no clue that the word your brother said could be construed as bad. I wouldn't even think of turning around and glaring. That lady was getting into business that wasn't hers to get into.

Were the boys feeling ok in Mexico??? It looks like there were actually smiling and not making faces in some of the pics... :rotfl2:

The videos of the boys in Mexico are great. :thumbsup2

Love the pics of you guys with Donald Duck and the one of your mom alone.

I love it...after a family squabble, let's all get together and smile and play nice for the camera. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I sometimes wonder about people in general. :confused3

I love World Showcase as well! I love all of Epcot actually, it is quickly becoming my favourite park. :thumbsup2

 Yeah, I couldn't believe that she got worked up about him saying that word. I have heard far worse around the parks!

:rotfl: They do take normal pictures every once and awhile.

Me too, especially with my job. I just try and laugh it off.

I think we might have been in Mexico at the same time! Its too bad I didn't know you where there, watching your brother's crazy antics may have been enough to pull me away from the tequila bar- maybe- ;)

Sorry that the parent glared at you! I don't consider "pissed" to be a bad word, but maybe I should be watching what I say around Everett a little better! I don't want him to get in trouble in kindergarten! :rotfl:

 I had considered going to the tequila bar but I had already wasted $9 on the terrible Grey Goose slushie and didn't want to be disappointed again.

 I think I would be a terrible parent, having to watch what I say and do all the time. :sad2:

Maybe the rain was contributing to the crankiness of people around you. I love the pictures you got with Donald Duck. :thumbsup2

That Italy trip looks like so much fun. If you were going back to Italy, but could only go to three of those places, which three would you pick?

Maybe the rain was contributing to the crankiness of people around you.

That is very possible. :thumbsup2

Tough question! I would have to say Rome, Venice and Bay of Naples (Pompeii, Capri and Sorrento were all very close together so it is a 3 for 1 deal. ;) )

Just marking my spot so I know where I left off reading !! Sounds kinda rude .. like a dog !!:rotfl2:Sorta goes along with the Bros "BAD" word !!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

That's great with your brothers getting their Mexican sides out! It's so hard not to go into some Disney store without trying on some hat or something and just going crazy. I can totally relate to your bros. (:

What is with that lady just leaving a stroller at an entrance to a ride? Wow, so rude. :sad2: Some people are just so careless. I'm pretty sure at least once a trip you run into people like that. :/ I totally agree about the whole deal with the "bad word". I have a little sister and we try so hard to maintain their innocence, but they are going to learn these stuff sooner or later, you just gotta know it's something you don't say. Simple as that. (:

Love the Donald Duck pictures and the pictures of the topiaries! Donald Duck is a huge favorite, he is just awesome especially in Mexican attire :D

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

May 14th continued

Once we left Mexico we decided that it was time to call it quits for the day. It had stopped raining so we could have stayed in the park but we decided that we had done enough for the day. We wanted this trip to be relaxing and since we were there for two weeks we didn't feel the pressure to stay in the parks all day. We knew that we would not be hungry enough to justify staying for our Via Napoli ADR.

On the way out we decided to do just one more ride, Spaceship Earth. Alek and Erich had not been on it since it was refurbished a few years ago.

I rode with Erich and Alek rode with Mom. Since Erich had never done the "Choose Your Future" game I let him make all the selections. Here is what our future ended up looking like.

Alek and Erich seemed to enjoy this "new" feature.

Once we got off the ride we decided to fool around with all the games at the exit. Mom relaxed on a bench while we goofed around. I think we spent a good hour in there playing all the games.

First up was the game that tests your cognition and reflexes. Naturally I did the best out of the three of us. :snooty:

After that we went over and played an anatomy game. Different bones and body parts go by on a conveyor belt and you drop them in the right place on the skeleton. This was only a two player game so Alek and Erich played and I recorded.

Anatomy Lesson at Epcot

Next up was an energy game. It was rather fun. Again it was a two player game. Erich and I played while Alek recorded. There is a mat on the floor that represents a city. You are responsible for providing energy to the city. You have different types of energy you can use. The better the type of energy the more successful you are in making the city grow. You push the energy sources to the needed area with sticks. Here is a video that shows you better than I can explain it. Video: Energy Game

We did so well that our city grew to the size of a Metropolis

There was one more game there to play. It was a racing/driving game. Only I played it, it was rather lame. Mom came over and found us at that point, she was worried that we had left without her since we had been gone for so long.

Overall we found this interactive game area in Spaceship Earth to be lots of fun and a great diversion. I recommend checking it out next time you go on the ride.

As we were leaving Mom asked where her(my) camera was, we had been using it as the battery in my new camera was dead. Mom and I freaked. I remembered having it at the last game and putting it next to me on the counter. I checked the bag and I hadn't put it in there, I ran back to the game, it wasn't there either. :scared1: We were losing it thinking the camera was lost. Alek and Erich looked at us like we were crazy. Erich asked if I was sure it wasn't in the bag. I pulled everything out from the two main compartments, it wasn't there. Well the little twerp had put it in the little pocket on the very back of the bag while I had been playing the game, we never use that pocket, in fact, I had completely forgotten that pocket was there. So the whole time that Mom and I had been freaking out about the camera he was laughing at us as he knew where it was the whole time. Jerk!

I was relieved that the camera was not missing after all but I was ticked that Erich had been messing with us. Mom was in a bad mood too due to the camera incident, thinking we had left her behind, and she was in pain because of her MS. It was definitely time to leave the park.

Just like we did after our disagreement in Mexico we had to stop for one last photopass picture before we left, so let's plaster those smiles on and act like a happy family!

Back at the hotel we laid out and relaxed while watching tv. Mom went to the Pepper Market to get dinner. She got some pasta with chicken. I had a taste and it was "okay".

IMG_2676.jpg

She didn't finish it so it was put away in the mini-fridge as it could get reheated later since we had the microwave. :thumbsup2

Alek, Erich and I didn't get dinner, we just ate some of the food we had in the room. We were still pretty full from our lunch at Beaches and Cream.

Mom was tired and went to sleep pretty early whereas Alek, Erich and I decided to head down to the pool.

IMG_1322.jpg

It was fairly empty and the lifeguard went off duty soon after we arrived. We made "friends" while in the pool. There was a big beach ball in the pool and we were playing with it. Just throwing it back and forth to each other trying to not let it hit the water. A guy and a girl came over and joined us randomly. Whatever, we are willing to share. We originally thought that they were brother and sister but eventually learned they were not and didn't even know each other. The girl who looked to be in her early to mid teens quickly became annoying. She was constantly screeching "Jason!" across the pool at a guy who actually was her brother, he continued to ignore her. She left after a little while, the other person who joined us stuck around the whole time we were there. He actually reminded us of Erich's best friend Jessie, they had the same laugh and this guy certainly had no problem acting like he had known us for a long time.

We continued to toss the ball around. Our new "friend" decided that he was on good enough terms with us to joke around. Just watch this video to see what he did to Erich. I swear I don't normally have a weird laugh like in the video. Video: Pool Games

Eventually we stopped tossing the ball around and took some photos.

We stayed at the pool for about an an hour and a half, just floating around and playing with the beach ball. I think our "friend" was disappointed when we decided to head back to the room for the night.

We had left the park in a bad mood but playing in the pool erased it away and I went to bed perfectly content. In the morning Mom and I would be heading over to Epcot alone while Alek and Erich slept in. I wanted the opportunity to take pictures of the Flower and Garden Festival and they were not interested in tagging along for that.
