I think you would run away screaming after spending any length of time with my family. It takes a lot of getting used to.

May 24th

It was another night of poor sleep. I was so stuffed up and I was all sweaty and feverish. I knew my body was fighting hard to get rid of whatever had infected me as I had really enlarged and tender lymph nodes and the fever. I tossed and turned all night.

Once everybody was up and ready to go in the morning we went to the nearest Walgreens so I could pick up some meds. I always forget how different the US is from Canada. I can't remember if it was the NyQuil or the Advil Cold and Sinus I wanted. I just remember that one of them was locked behind a cage. Here in Canada they are just sitting on a shelf and you are free to grab them and take them to the check out.

I don't remember what I ended up getting, it was whatever was not locked behind the cage.

After giving myself a nice dose of medication we made our way over to the Animal Kingdom. We decided on this park as there was some stuff we never got to during our first day there this trip.

We grabbed a photopass picture outside and in front of the tree on the way in.

We then made our way over to Dinoland for a ride on Dinosaur.

Mom decided not to ride so she wandered around and took pictures while we were gone.

The ride was fun and this time my head didn't get banged around so that was a bonus! Last time I went on the ride with the boys my ear got slammed into Alek's shoulder, it hurt!

Next on our tour of Animal Kingdom was Expedition Everest. These thrill rides were probably not the best idea for somebody who was sick and foggy headed but it was out last full day! I had to go on them! I am really bad at taking care of myself when I am sick...

There was a really obnoxious school group on the ride with us, more obnoxious than Alek and Erich and that is hard to accomplish! All through the line they were yelling and pushing each other around and ringing all the bells and on the ride the behaviour continued.

I think the family photo shoot turned out nicely. I did get a kick out of the fact that your brothers couldn't help but make some funny faces even in the serious pics. They are such characters!

Sorry you were still feeling poorly, but I'm glad you were able to make it into a park and at least salvage part of the day. I'm with you, no matter how I'm feeling, I'm going to power through for Disney!

I also wanted to say that I love your purple dress! You always look so cute in all your photos! I'm hopeless at putting together cute outfits, so I'm always really impressed at people who can!

The locked up stuff has psuedophedrine (sp?) as an ingredient. The federal government has regulated it because druggies use it as an ingredient in making methamphetamine. You have to sign for it and give the pharmacist your drivers license #. I find the cold medicines without psuedophedrine don't work as well.

I have to tell you that I've read your entire trip report between yesterday and today and have thoroughly enjoyed it! We leave on Saturday for 8 days and it's the first trip for my little ones. Reading about your experience has made me even more excited and the kids have really enjoyed all of your character pictures. Can't wait to read the next installment

It took me awhile but I have finally read the whole TR.

I loved the trip with your father. That area looks absolutely gorgeous.

Your brothers look like they are a lot of fun. I have 4 brothers so I know what its like. The youngest 2 would go to an ice cream shop and ask for ketchup to go with their banana splits and extra coffee creamers - they didn't get coffee just wanted the creamers.

I really enjoyed the Harry Potter area at Universal. One day we will get to Universal again but I have been taking short trips so it doesn't give me enough time. I loved Typhoon Lagoon but sadly have skipped that too.

I have never been down for Star Wars weekend, maybe one day. I would love to see the characters.

It looks like everyone had a great time.

Yep, he lives in a beautiful part of the country. I jokingly refer to my dad's home as my "summer house".

Well, I wanted to make the most of my vacation, we were heading home the next day after all! Plenty of time to be sick once we were back home.
