all i can say is this.....once you get there and check in....just go out on your balcony, bring a beer on glass of wine, or a diet coke, whatever your preference. Sit down, put your feet up, and i promise you, that all of your problems will go away because you are now at the happiest place on earth!!!

I agree, get down there, sit on your balcony, whichever resort you're at & RELAX... This is my favorite part of our stays!! Everyone else is running crazy to the parks, not me... I'll just sit & smell the roses for a few minutes!

Everything I've heard so far, they're expecting this thing to turn toward Texas. "If" it gets picked up by the first trough, it may go to Fla, but it's not as likely. It's also only supposed to be just NW of Cuba by Sat, wouldnt put it to Orlando until many days after unless it turns and speeds up and and and...

Go have fun for pete's sake, it's Mickey World. And when you're sitting there on the balcony with your boat drink, wear your shades:smooth: .

Not very likely will WDW be affected by a Hurricane. They have only closed once since 1971 because of this. I would say your odds are pretty good. Hope everything works out with your other folks but if not go have fun anyway! Good luck!

G0 - Enjoy - Relax - Go Wild - Do Everything - Do Nothing - BUT GO and DON'T WORRY- It's WDW THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH:p

Bring some extra shoes along, so if one pair gets wet, you'll have another pair to wear. Buy a poncho - Mickey poncho, none of those Wal-Mart specials - get in the spirit. Do your best Gene Kelly (Singin' in the Rain) impersonation. Have FUNNNNNNNN!

Don't worry about the impending storm. We had our first big family trip with the (adult) kids after we bought DVC. We were at BW..oblivious to the world outside...when I caught glimpse of a newscast with Hurricane Floyd racing towards us...and the Gov. of Florida in a panic, announcing it would be worse than Andrew!! People were leaving Disney...I have to admit I was a bit internally freaked wondering what would happen) The Disney preparations for the storm were calm, organized and majical to watch!! They closed the Parks etc briefly....but took care of the guests...feeding us and making us feel safe. Many castmembers chose to stay at Disney because they said they felt safer. The hotel kept us up to date and took such good care of us....it was all quite impressive. They all told us that the storms never come inland so far....and they were right...only a few squalls and some wind and rain. It didn't affect our visit at all. I would guess whatever is out there, can't compare to the size and strength of Floyd......relax and enjoy...you're in GREAT hands!:D
