feeling confused - kidani vs jambo

Ok so I feel so confused right now. I was just filling out the form online to request a reservation and when it asked "if you own at more than one resort, please select the resort points you want to use for this reservation" (or something close to that) - and we own at both SSR and AKV. So in the drop down menu I could chose but it specifically had 2 AKV choices - kidani or jambo. I didn't know the answer!!! We added on in June during a cruise on the Wonder and all I could recall was Animal Kingdom Villas - so I dug around and found the contract - and all it says is "Animal Kingdom Villas". So I still don't know the answer!!! How can i find out which is my home and/or does it matter?!?!?! I guess the does it matter part is my biggest question.

You're home resort is just AKL. Kidani is the new wing of AKL, Jambo is the original. You don't have to specify where in AKL you own; there is no such distinction. There is a distinction about where you will stay. Kidani is across the savannah from the original Jambo house. There is no walkway between the two; you must ride a bus from one to the other. Kidani does have one small restaurant and shop, its own check-in desk, its own pool, valet and luggage services.

Thank you! But I have to say that there is a choice of AKV - kidani or AKV - jambo when you get to that question about your home resort on the ressie form. I picked the kidani option since that is where I want to stay so I picked it for that question too. It is a little confusing but at least now I feel like maybe it's not me.

When you click on your contract details in the member website, it should say whether your points are "Jambo" points or "Kidani" points.

If you bought last June, did you have points that could be used before May 1st of this year? If you did, then you most likely own Jambo. If you had points, but could not use them until Kidani opened, then your points are most likely Kidani.

While it doesn't really matter as it is one resort and doesn't affect reservations, they are techinically different. I would assume the reason that the online form asked for the information as Kidani points could not be used for reservations before May 1st of this year. Now that we are past it, I am sure that they way that you filled it out is fine.

It more then likely had to do with the people who bought at Kidani and couldn't use there points until Kidani open. Now that it is open it doesn't matter where your points are from. Our points were bought at Jamba house so we could book immediately after purchasing because Jamba house Villas were open.

Your unit owner ship can also be found on your title documents and deed. Member Administration can also provide you with that information.
