Feedback on Etsy.com

So I am thinking of opening up an Etsy shop selling handmade cards, other paper crafts and eventually handmade jewelry. I belong to several crafting sites where people have them and have read some of their feedback, but wanted to get some feedback from people who aren't into crafts that much. I just wanted to see if any of you have ever visited Etsy and if so did you buy anything? Any other insight you may have would be helpful.

I realize that it isn't an opportunity where I could quit my day job, but I just want to see if the effort if worth my while.

I have purchased a few things on Etsy and been very pleased. The best are people who are willing to customize a product for me. (i.e. tote bags with names on them and a customized design).

I've gotten a puppy blanket for my dog and his name tag from Etsy. Also looking at buying our cake toppers from Etsy.
