I don't want to be rude, but could you use spell check? Either copy it into a word doc or use the spell check here on the DIS. If you look right above the smilies, you can see the button (it says ABC and has a check mark).

Oh, it's salad not salid. :)

It's hard to read posts with so many mispellings.

This is quite rude of you.

O My Such Rudeness on a simple thread to save money plus mispellings is wrong to it's Misspellings.

It's not the spelling, it's the typing. At least for me it is. :rotfl:

O My Such Rudeness on a simple thread to save money plus mispellings is wrong to it's Misspellings.

First, I said I wasn't trying to be rude. That's why I put the smilie and said how to do spell check.

Second, that was rude of you to say.

Third, it's too not to. :)

Forth, I think that mommiepoppins add a lot to this thread, but it is hard to understand some of what she types. Not everyone knows that the DIS offers spellcheck, so I was pointing that out.

I will bow out of this thread because obviously I am not welcome. I don't want this thread to get shut down because of my suggestions. I guess I'll go back to lurking, thanks.

Fine, now we all know we can't spell or type. Can we please go back to the thread topic. LoveDisney, don't be run off the thread. I'm sure you did not mean to sound rude. It just came off that way. If you have any relevant posts, I'm sure the rest of us would love to hear your suggestions. :goodvibes

I am amazed at the small amount of money that people can spend to feed their families! I dont know how you do it. I can very easily spend way more to feed myself on an average day, compared so some people who feed a family of 6. Maybe it has to do with where I live; I could never get food for these prices.
I am not much of a meat eater either., but I do worry about the lack of protein I see in some of these menus though....
Maybe it's just the nurse in me :rotfl2:

good luck with all of your budgets, you seem to be doing well.

I'm tempted to put in a weeks worth of menus and costs on here, it would blow some of your minds!:rotfl:

Before I decided to stay home full time for my husband and I and two Toddlers our average food bill was 250 a wk but most was convience food because I and he worked full time, Also we ate T-bone weekly because we liked it now it's a Special day item like Father's day He will have his T-bone. I learned we don't need to eat rich foods any longer simple things basic veggies and meat and grains. Plus it's 95 degrees i don't know about you but i do not feel like eating when it's this warm.
Post some of your daily menu's maybe someone will go you know if u did this you could save. Never know.

What??!! Did you use fillers or something? Because that's only 1-2 oz of meat per person??

That was from an earlier post which was on Sunday, as I stated in the post, On Sundays we don't do "real" meals, we snack and graze because we sleep in, have a very late breakfast an attend Mass at 12:30 pm so only part of the family even ate sandwiches at that time....if I remember it was Dh and Ds10 and then Ds3 and Dd5 split a sandwich. Yes they were not HUGE sandwiches but with the other snacks that day it was plenty at the time. Also this not a "planned" meal it was leftover ground beef from a meal earlier in the week. I think we need to keep in mind that we all eat differently and I can promise you that we are not starving;) I have a hyatel hernia and can only consume small amounts of food at a time, so I eat more frequently. That has really cut our meal sizes down with myself eating so much less than I used to.

Okay, that makes a bit more sense. :) I was thinking "Holy cow!! My 16 son could eat that much himself!! :lmao:

Well DH and I went grocery shopping yesterday. WE bought enough stuff and hopefully we will not have to shop until the first week of Aug. We spent 200. That includes laundry soap, tp tooth paste shampoo and deodorant for DH, and food for the cats. I have had so much food in my freezer so I really was able to plan what to buy. I used 3 coupons. I am hiding all the cookies and snacks on the kids (they will eat it all in one day if I let them). I HOPE that I will not have to shop until Aug. I know that in 2 weeks I will have to get milk and some salad. (Hopefully by then we will be happy to eat it again)

Fyi My micro office is in use again:woohoo:
