Actually in your original post you said that you weren't going to feed him your good Kosher dogs but cheap .59 Bar S instead. I also don't understand a Vegetarian who hates fruit and veggies. What does he eat?

Possibly it just goes against my Southern roots, as well. I don't try to impress my guests (not possible with my cooking skills anyway) but I do try to feed them well. Our most recent get together was grilled burgers (the same 93/7 that I serve my family), chips, salad, and the previously mentioned homemade ice cream. Our visits are also about spending time together which was why I chose a cookout so that I wouldn't be in the kitchen the whole time. The ice cream is a summer family tradition since my siblings and I remember our grandpa using a handcrank to make it for us when we were kids. We now try to make it for our kids (Thank goodness for electric freezers) at least once a summer.

Me feeding my brother seems a real concern today to a bunch of ya. mainly from a bunch who rarely post if ever what they fed there family today? So unless you want to send him food (he's single with a great job). He just doesn't find food important like my family. Maybe why he's 6' and 175lbsI should of posted and didn't catch it until someone pointed it out I should of said he rather not have fruit and veggies for a snack instead of writing he hates them.

I was engaged to a body builder (we didn't get married), and he lived on a VERY limited diet (protein and protein shakes mainly), and he did not eat many fruits and veggies because he didn't want the carbs during competition season. He had a LOT of kidney problems. His diet was so low in fiber, that he had a lot of other problems as well. His body was beautiful, but his health was bad....he ended up having a lot of joint pain. He had to quit after a few years.

People eat lots of things that really amaze (and, sometimes concern) me, but I don't think I have ever heard of a vegetarian who hates fruits and veggies. I am sure your brother is not starving, and he probably eats much healthier than me (even though I REALLY try to eat healthy, organic foods). However, after my experience with my ex-fiance', I really worry about people who live on protein shakes....I just don't think that is what God intended our bodies to use as fuel.

It's just my opinion....don't mean to get on a "high horse".
I agree with the protein shakes and bars but it's his choice what he eats but i did correct what i wrote i think after you pointed out what does he eat. But who am i to say to anyone eat this i'm not there momma i have two kids and those are only one's i tell eat this to.

Salad - 45 cents

Dinner

Hot Dog and Soda (Charity Stand at Store) $1.50

Drinks

Capri-Sun (Two) 12 cents

I also did my weekly grocery shopping today. I spent $34 which is a little more then usual, but I bought crab and calamari, which I almost never buy, so that put me over. I also had to buy laundry detergent, and I splurged on these little hair clips that were just too cute to pass up.

I did get "free" Chex mix though. And I got a really good deal on Capri-Sun, and stocked up on that for less then $1 a box, I may have to buy more before the end of the sale. I also stocked up on the cheese I like. I got six bars, and they were only $1.50 a bar.

I bought two cans of Spagettios today. They were only ten cents a can, so I couldn't pass them up. I'll probably end up donating them though. Like once a month I go through my pantry, and donate whatever I have too much of, or what I decide I don't need, to a local food bank. Since I get the food for next to nothing, it doesn't cost me that much, and it makes me feel really good.

You're right...I'm sorry if it came across that you SHOULD be monitoring what your brother eats...I really didn't mean that. He is certainly a grown man. Honestly...I was just baffled by what he eats.

So, when you were posting the 6 people you were feeding, that did not include him....or, am I incorrect on that as well?
