My DH, DS and DS's best friend are scheduled to parasail on Castaway Cay on our 7/17/04 western cruise. I'm trying to save some spending $$ for our 9 days at WDW after the cruise. Does anyone know if I would have to pay to go out in the boat and watch them parasail? I'd love to get some pictures, but I'd hate to have to pay big $$ for the privledge. Thanks!

I believe you have to pay full price to go out on the boat to watch...you would be taking a paying parasailers spot on the boat so they would charge you for it.

Maybe if there is an extra spot they would let you go?

Any reason why you your not going to go????

When I booked the parasailing for my DH and 2 DSs I inquired as to whether I could go out on the boat with them to take pics. I was told the only people allowed on the boat are those who will actually be parasailing, as they have so many requests for this and need to take as many out as possible each time. I didn't ask if I could go if I paid the parasailing fee - it's a bit too pricy to pay just to get photos!:Pinkbounc
It turned out they couldn't parasail afterall when we were there in April, due to the high wind conditions.it was cancelled for the entire day.

send your camera with them. They won't all go up together and they will be able to take pic's of each other. If there is only one, all the people on our boat were really nice and we took pictures with each other's cameras.

You can also take pretty good pictures of the parasailers on Deck 10 on the Magic/Wonder. They're not too awfully far from the ship most of the time.

They definitely wouldn't allow any passengers in the boat (which was full of parasailers anyway) when DH did this at CC a couple of years ago.

He took a disposable water proof camera up with him and got some amazing pictures. I stood up on the ship and took pictures as well.

Thanks for all the responses! The DCL woman I spoke to when making all of our cruise excursion reservations said there would not be a cost for me to tag along, but you know "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!".

I'll send along a disposable waterproof camera with the boys and see if I can capture some decent pictures with my new digital camera (if I can only get through the owners manual between now and then!).

Thanks again!
