Does anyone have any idea whether the new DVC at DLR will be part of the same group as AKV, SSR etc? Or will I have to pay the $95 trade-in fee? I live in Ca and would probably get to DLR more often than WDW and just wondered if I should buy there when they start selling.

I will be part of DVC, just like Hilton Head, Vero Beach and the WDW DVC resorts.

Unless something happens and they change the policy, you would not have to pay a fee to use your points @ GCV.

Do your AP's that you buy for use at WDW also work at DL?

You currently do not have to pay the $95 fee for the Grand Californian. I booked a stay there for this August using my developer points and it was free.

Just returned from the Grand Californian on Saturday and we did not pay an extra fee.

The resort fee that they charge cash guests ($11 per night I believe) is also not charged on point reservations. The fee covers self parking, newspaper, internet, fitness room.

The AP's are not interchangeable.

WDW AP is much more expensive the DLR, though.

I just bought ours for $ 259...at dlr...
