fedex man went above & beyond his call of duty!!

guess what i got?
Fedex tried delivering to my house at the end of the day while I was still at work, saw the note I left on my door before I left for work and headed to the library 1.5miles from here. I left work early today (took lunch hr at end of day) so he missed me at work. I had gone home to get ready to take DS out for the night. As Im driving away from my house guess who came around the corner? So I immediately pulled over. Fedex man said he just left the library and here I was leaving home too. I asked him if he knew what was in the box and sure enough he did! Told him he made my day

And after I got home I showed DH and now he's ready to go for his birth certificate.

YEA, Barb got her documents.

I must have missed an earlier post, did your DH not think he needed his birth certificate and he needed the docs to prove it to him? Hope he gets a certified copy quickly!

Well not really - DH just hasnt been thinking about the cruise at all! I was hoping the docs would be just the thing to get him on the ball. I also bought him 2 pairs of windpants back in Aug that he hasnt tried on yet. (Yes, I know not reg pants but hey at least they arent shorts!) And I need him to get himself measured for his tux.
All the other planning/obsessing I can do without him (incl booking the excursions) but some things he's gotta do for himself.

I know how anxiously you were waiting for those docs.
It's neat how the delivery persons sometimes go above and beyond the call. I had a UPS delivery that I missed once (not Disney docs, just some merchandise), so the next day I left a note asking the driver if possible to call me at work and I could meet him at his next stop (I work 5 mins. down the street). He recognized the phone number and dropped the package off at my job...very nice of him!

Well I hope you have better luck getting your birth cert than I did!!!! I sent for my moms, 6 weeks later in the mail it comes..but with all the wrong info so I had to send for another one, another 6 weeks... so 3 months later we finally had a birth cert that was good for the cruise! I was SO glad I sent for it early!
