Federal Refund Status question

Have any of you seen a reduction in your federal refund? I was hearing that since April when Obama did the stimulus (taking out less of your paycheck), that if you normally receive a federal refund, you might not get quite as much. Did it seem to affect you much? Counting on our refund to help with vacation plans!

Make sure and fill out schedule M. It tells you if you are eligible to receive the 400(single)/800(married) credit. The reason for them to take out less tax during the year is so you would feel the relief throughout the year.

We filed online last Saturday, it was accepted that Monday and deposited into our account this morning. So just 1 week after being accepted for us

Bah our refund date has been pushed now TWICE

We filed on 1/21 it was accepted on 1/22 the original date they gave us was the 10th. I checked last week and it said the 5th but it did not make it in our account until the
8th. I am not sure if the delay was weekend/bank issues and not the IRS.

I just checked the IRS website and it finally says that they received it but get this.......It's saying that we're not getting our refund until Feb. 23!!!!! What the heck!

According to the IRS refund schedule you are in the right time frame for your return for being accepted last Fri. They will always say allow until the next Tues which will be the 23rd for your deposit. More than likely it will be there on Fri the 19th if it doesnt get delayed. I'm seeing some peoples refunds getting delayed by a week. Ours were delayed by 2 weeks last year because the IRS got backed up.

just talked to the irs to verify ours b/c the website and the phone still says they are still processing. we are getting ours deposited this friday. i was told what they tell us supersedes what there website and phone message says. my advice to anyone is to call and talk to a human being to get your status. ours was thrown into the errors dept- something on the irs's end that was messed up ( had to do with schedule m- making work pay credit). that schedule is messing up 1000's of returns- so i was told.

Still don't have a date showing. How annoying.

We filed with TurboTax..we got an email saying our return was accepted by the IRS and at 72 hours we should be able to check the status on the "where's my refund?" site. So you're just at or over that....

Should I even say this...am I the only one who thinks the IRS is working pretty efficiently? The turnaround time in general seems pretty good, from what people have been posting (Maybe that will give me some good karma! )

Status showed up this morning and says a deposit day of this Friday. WOW! One week is quite impressive!

We did ours on the 29th and it says to expect it on the 16th.

We had our taxes done on the 28th but the accountant couldn't file until the 29th (because of a tax credit). I never got any status on the IRS website until this morning. My accountant said I would have my $$$ deposited by the 11th. The status the website gave me is the 23rd I am really hoping the money is in there this week. I need it for school in the worst way.

Actually, we should be getting it on the 12th, the 19th at the absolute latest.

I don't get it! We filed on the same day and got our "received" email the same day and your refund date is completely different!
