Febuary 07 Discount Codes

OK - I'm new here (relatively) and a couple questions:
1) What does AP stand for (I'm learning all these abbreviations POFQ, CSR, etc)

2) If you book with smallworldvacations or dreamsunlimited - don't they look out for codes for you? Would I still need to be on the lookout???

3) Can I even expect to see some kind of discount for the beginning of peak season?

Thanks!

I booked with Small world and they watch for codes (not like I won't already know b/c I Dis so much!). They are awesome though! I am working with Lisa and she answers all my questions right away. It is like calling disney direct except you get to work with the same person. It has been a great experience so far! :teeth:

1. Annual Pass ( you can purchase an annual pass and it helps offset the cost. I did not find any cost savings for us. Check out mousesavers.com for more info.

2. I think you always need to be on the lookout. I have booked with AAA and called them what happens if a general public code comes out. I need to call them. I think some people have had good luck with the TA catching it for them. But think of how many reservations they handle. I would follow up. Also if you have a general date down it wouldnt hurt to call for a quote. You might be surprised!

3. who knows.....

Good luck with your vacation plans!

I have AAA and know that I can get some discount but would be nice to have another offer. Last year we went during this time and were very glad to have AAA -- it was the only discount I saw. Here's hoping! :goodvibes

Feb seems like a nice time to go back. It is right in the middle of our snowboard season and maybe a warm up would be nice. No crowds and $99 Mod room. Sign me up!

We were going to go in March but once again DSS cancelled his Disney trip to go with his Dear Mom.

So I have a trip to disney not during High season so I can pick when. Waiting for the best codes and prices.

We booked our Feb trip in Oct last year. At the time there were no discounts and we found the prices for the packages (room, dining plan & park tickets) were the same price if we booked with disney directly or through CAA (our canuck AAA). If we had bought everything separately, no package, disney would have given us a room discount (I think 20-25%) but we would have had to then buy the dining plan and would probably have bought our tickets through a discount retailer. As it turned out the package was cheaper (by $300-400) so we stuck with that. Of course they then came out with a code that covered the cost of our dining plan (in essense "free dining") but we only found out about this code from checking boards - I think it came from mousesavers. We then called back disney and they applied the code and the savings!! This code would not have been available had we chosen to book everything separately.
Keep your fingers crossed - book what you can afford now and apply what bargains come up later on.

mickeywho?: Do you remember when the code came out for your trip??

I think it was November. The code was YZD (i think) so you may find it's history if you do a search.

Found it on Mousesavers
For checkin dates:1/1/06-3/8/06 package discounts for general public released 11/1/05, exp 12/18/05

The code was available for a very short time - we only found out by watching the boards! I think if we had waited for a code before booking our stay, we may have had very few choices of resorts to choose from.

We will be there for a short Mommy and Me trip 2/8-2/11 2007 and are waiting to see if there are any AP rates for that time. :wizard:

I've got a room-only booked right now through smallworld for mid-Feb. She said if a code comes out for a package - she'll be able to change my ressie to the package. That is correct, right? OR should I have her switch it to the package now?

I've heard two stories about room only to packages:
1. switching is not a problem.
2. switching means rebooking because they are different rooms.
Both from travel agents. :confused3
