OK I know I can look at statistics for weather in February (middle to end) but that really isnt what I'm looking for.

Is February usually the coldest month of the year in Orlando? I know Floridians (most anyway) wouldnt consider swimming but, is that an option in the heated Universal pools?

Do they cut back on water effects on the rides during February? Like will I still get absolutely drenched on Popeye?

I was also wondering what to bring? I guess I'll need layers but will I be wearing shorts or not really?

Thanks!

this year's stats are out the window, it's been the warmest Florida winter in recorded history. swimming in a heated pool is not a problem.

Ya mean until I get there right? Thanks, I hope it stays that way.

Nah Fan2CSkr, until WE get there in a week and a half! Actually, I'm glad you asked the "weather" question....we'll be there the end of Jan/beginning of Feb and I was wondering what to pack. Figured cold mornings/evenings, comfy days...... I was just waiting till next week (closer) to post, but since you've brought it up....

it's been high 70's and breaking the 80's the last couple of weeks. in the shade or at night a light long t-shirt is good. in full sun, I've been laying out, no poop. we hot tubbed it earlier tonight.

:)

February is one of the best months to visit.
The low of the morning is usually 55-60 and you can wear a light jacket or 2 t-shirts. In the afternoon the temps go into the low 70s.

If a freak cold snap comes thru, then the low is 50, and you'll need a jacket and long pants.

Believe it or not, all the water rides work, and I've been on them in the morning. I went on Popeye, the water was freezing cold, and I had my t-shirt off. After the ride, I put my shirt on, it was dry, and I warmed up.

The place is a ghost town in the morning. In the afternoon there will be some people and the waits might be 20 minutes.

I JUST got back from the beach. Its a little cooler today, the high will be in the 70's....really breezey. Normally this time of year we are seeing mid 40's to upper 50's for lows and high 60's for highs. This year is insane. Warmer winters can mean only one thing, warmer water.....which means what boys and girls? Stronger hurricanes.:scared1:
