February trip thread!

wohoo!!!! I just did my lime green mickey head i already put it on my backpack I am taking as well as my landyard I am taking :) wohoo!!!!!

Suitcases are all packed and we're flying to Arizona tomorrow morning. We're staying until Friday, then driving to Anaheim. I don't know why, but Friday the park is open until midnight. I guess they're expecting large crowds. That's ok. Nothing can be worse than a summer in Disneyland! lol. At least we won't be dealing with snow.

We'll be back home late on Tues, 2/2. I'll post back and let you know how the parks are and how the trip went! :)

Great to see the tickers getting close. First group is just a week away. Yeah!!!

Let's hope that last week was the one big rain storm.

I'm going 2/24 through 3/2.

Hoping the weather will be good. Last time I was there I had to wear my hat and gloves, and it was pretty chilly during the Segway tour.

:hourglass:

Does anyone know why DLR is closing so early on Wed the 24th. It closes at 7pm. Is it just a down day or are they having an event?

I hope everyone doesn't mind me jumping in here. I just found this forum the other day and have been reading this thread a little at a time. We are planning on going 2/24-2/28. We haven't made our reservations yet because we can't decide where to stay. DH went several times as a child and I went once when I was 17. Our DD is 11 and this will be her first time going. Is it really worth it to stay at one of the disney hotels? I like the convenience of how close it is to everything. I want to make reservations asap and also want to do some sort of character meal. Where is the best place to eat? Does anyone have any good advice for this first time (as adults!) family?

well, this is just a personal opinion and you will find different ones. i think DLR hotels are atrociously expensive and wont stay at one. i would if i was RICH haha of course but if your a normal family that is expensive. besides the cost, yes it has more magic to it and will immerse you in disney more than a neighboring hotel. its up to you if thats worth the price. also, most people will tell you that the walk from the disney hotels is about the same as the walk from many hotels on harbor to get to the main gate. i love the hojo, and we got the ET rate, if you can get it, the place cant be beat, period in many peoples opinion but if you cant get the rate then there are cheaper places. i guess its really about your spending habits. welcome to the thread, you will be there the same days as my family. dont forget a lime green mickey head! :D

You won't be able to get the ent. rate for HOJO at least not the last I looked. The Disboards Girls only trip is going at the same time and that is where they are staying. So the limit was met last I looked.

But There are great deals with many others right along the strip on Harbor right now.

WooHoo!!! Here we go everyone......One more day till FEBRUARY...:cool1::banana::wizard::woohoo::yay: :dance3: :cheer2:

1 week from today we will be in sunny(hopefully)California :cool2:.We have had one day since Halloween that has been above zero.:sad2:

Hope everyone has an AWESOME holiday. Bring on the MAGIC.....:wizard:

I picked up my LGMH toady at Home Depot. Another item checked off the list. Still have 25 days but I am also excited Feb. is almost here.

3 more days!! I looked oline and Disneyland Express has a web special from SNA and LAX going. $30 round trip from LAX, also some family special that I did not pay much attention to since it is just the two of us. A bit less than the Super Shuttle, which we usually take. Only drawback is they run once an hour during the time we will be arriving so we might have a bit of a wait whereas we have found the Super Shuttle and Prime Time to always have a van there that is heading to the DL area. On the other hand, with the DLE you won't be taking folks home to Lakewood or other places between LAX and DL.
