February- President's Week

We're heading to see the Mouse for President's Week also... can't wait to say "goodbye" to the snow for a week, lol.

We're not worried about the crowds at WDW, but I'm still trying to decide whether or not we should purchase Express passes for US/IOA.

Hello to fellow New Englanders. Can't wait to get away from cold. I am sitting here at my computer with layers of clothes and blankets - can't wait to shed some of the clothes!!!! and see the sun. We've never been to US - I think we will in June when we go.

msmickminn: will say hi to you by the pool! Have fun with DH - we are debating using DP for a trip for our 17th Anniversary - time does fly!

We are from MA and we will be heading down that week too. 15-21 at VWL. We can't wait to get out of this cold weather and into some warmth. I am just hoping for good weather as I hear it can go either way in the weather dept.

Thanks. I have been planning for months, reserved my ADRs as soon as I could and also used TourGuideMike. I figure that if its too crowded we will go back to SSR and just relax - now that we are DVC members we will be back. We do plan to get up early almost every day to enjoy the parks - although only using one early morn EMH - hopefully that will help us.

Nobody has said whether they have gone to the Waterparks in February? will it be too cold? (all relative I know).

My DH & 2 kiddies have gone to Blizzard Beach in February (President's Week) for the last 3 years. I hang back and enjoy a peaceful lunch

We'll be there 16-19 for a short trip due to the outrageous airfare from LI. Look for us hanging out on our Boardwalk View balcony!!

I am not too worried about the crowds - but the 4/3 deal didn't help us DVCers because it inc. crowds - because if its too much we'll just relax by the pool, go to DisneyQuest, whatever - anything's better than SNOW!!!! and its a silly snow day today if you ask me. It means my kids will have to go to June 23 which is ridiculous. Lisa, I'll look and post now.

Wish I could get out of work that wkend to go - oh well. Now I am a little scared. Monday when we get in is a 9. I think we'll stay at the pool instead of going to the MK and just go to our Cali. Grill ADR at 7:30p and we will get enough Disney Magic to start. The only thing is we are going to AK Tues am and the HS in the pm and I usually like to see the Castle the first day - stupid I know. Oh well. Still so excited!!!

Thanks! We start our vacation a little early so that Thurs and Fri are golden! (We only take our girls out for at most 2 days of school. It was supposed to be one but the airline changed the flight times!)

My oldest is now a Freshman in High School so no more taking him out even for one day - boo hooooo!!! We used to go in November and last yr we took the kids out for a few days before April vacation so that we could enjoy the Poly before our Magic Cruise but that won't be happening any more. My oldest plays lacrosse and his club travel team coach wasn't happy that he missed a tournament in April. So no more April vacation trips either.

Since you've been in Feb., what do you think about Monday 16th should we do MK when we get there in the afternoon or not?

I have the high school freshman dilemma going on here too, and there is just no way he can miss a day of school anymore. He's in an Honor's program at his prep school, and the workload is too intense to have to make up days. He's had a fit about the two sick days he's had to take this year - no way would we pull him for vacation. Between school and sports, I feel like we're working around his schedule these days, lol.

My impression has been that Sunday and Monday have been the busiest and decreasing through the week. A little different the UG Touring plans numbers.

I'm not sure if I would try to venture in to MK on Monday unless you really needed to. If you have an AP and are going to the CG anyway you could go and see in the late afternoon, then bail if it is too much. I think you may be able to get your castle fix by your view from the CG. Will you get to see Wishes while you are there? A loop around on the monorail also can get you in the spirit.

We usually 'do' the MK the first two days we are there, which is usually the few days before the weekend but may include Sat. For Sun and Monday we usually do a resort day or Epcot (possibly AK).
