February No Buy ~ 2014

Did a bit of shopping today.

Tracking only non-bill, non-gas, non-grocery spending (all the spending covered by my normal $70 miscellaneous weekly allowance):

Week of 2/2 - $12.56 McDonalds - $12.56/$0 (was supposed to be my no-spend week)

Week of 2/9 - $24.76 Target, $45 documents from Polish State Archives, $15.62 Chipotle Take out for Vday (my gift to myself LOL) - $85.38/$70

Week of 2/16 - $9.64 Target, $9.51 DollarTree - $19.15/$70

Tomorrow we are actually going to go out and have some fun for the holiday, but I'm going to see if I can keep us to just a $10 budget. Entrance to the local art museum is free tomorrow, so we'll start there. We'll follow that with a picnic in the park across the street, brought from home. The art museum is next to the old part of town, so we'll walk down there and hit a favorite candy store for a few small pieces of ridiculously overpriced taffy. We'll sit and just watch the river as we eat those. Then it'll be onto Jamba Juice for a real treat since I have a bogo coupon. The most expensive part of the day will be parking downtown...hopefully we'll get out of the house early enough to find a spot in the cheap but very small lot near the museum!

Haven't had too many no-buy days lately, but I'm sure I'll reach my goal of 15 (upping from 14). Will probably need more food at some point, and more Valentine's Day snacks if the class party happens this week.

Wednesday I ended up working a longer work day than planned so I treated my coworkers to pizza (we all take turns treating).

Yesterday I spent nothing.

Today I only worked until 2pm so I ran errands. I got groceries, gas, and ordered dress pants for work from kohls.

Yesterday I did laundry and cleaned.

Today I ran errands, and had lunch with a friend. We even got our lunches for free because the waitress was new and messed the order up. It was completely unneccassary but the manager insisted, so we left her a nice tip.
