I hope to hit the treadmill tonight to see if I can get a few miles in.

40 min run yesterday

695/1000

stinks that i'm going to miss the goal but i'll make a new one in march and hit it :)

Hi, everyone!!
I missed you guys! It is wonderful to see how many minutes you were all wracking up over the weekend. :thumbsup2 Thank you so much for all the posts wishing me luck. I was getting email notifications of the posts, so I was really feeling your support and good vibes. Thank you!

Tiki - I think it is totally awesome how you have been supporting everyone here. That's so sweet!

I am so appreciative of all the positive spirit in this thread. :grouphug:

I did a TON of walking this weekend. Miles and miles and miles, actually. ;) Seriously, though, I did about 25 minutes of walking Friday at the airport and at the resort. When I checked in, the castmember was insistent on having Bell Services drive me to my building. When she said it the third time, going on about how far it was from the front desk to my building, I told her "I'm here to do the half-marathon on Sunday. I think I can walk to my villa." LOL! Her only response? "Oh, you're doing the half-marathon? You'll need this." and she handed me the special sheet with transportation instructions. LOL!

On Saturday, we walked more than we should, first at the expo and then to and from the pool and finally at the parking lot at DHS to the front gate and to Mama Melrose's. Again, that night, the Tram Host CM was a bit concerned when we got off the tram instead of taking it to the front gate and said "That's quite a walk. Are you sure you don't want to ride?" and my friend Amy and I laughed and I said "We're doing the half-marathon tomorrow; this will be our final taper session!" He just wished us luck and gave us a huge smile and a thumbs up. I guestimate that I had 90 minutes of atypical walking that day.

Yesterday was the half marathon. I did a total of about 10 minutes of jogging intervals during it (really just wanted to see how the knee would hold up) and walked a total of about 285 minutes throughout the day, much of it at race pace.

Brings me to my goal and new total of 1625/1500. :goodvibes

Thank you again for all of the wonderful good wishes for the race. It was a fun, fun time! Well, all except for about 12.0 miles of it, which was just not pretty for this slowpoke. :rotfl2: I liked the part where we went through the Magic Kingdom, and I liked the part where we went past the cute guys dressed up like princes and asking me to please try on the glass shoe or glass sneaker, and I liked the part in EPCOT walking toward Spaceship Earth, and I really liked the part jogging across the finish line. The rest of it? Not so much. :lmao:

Truly, though, it was SUCH a fun weekend. I went there, kind of spur of the moment (signed up mid-January) to try to finish a WDW half-marathon after having dropped out over marathon weekend. Dropping out really totalled my confidence but I want the Coast-to-Coast medal. I was really slow yesterday. But I had a great time with awesome WISH friends and Disney bride friends, the weather was mostly perfect (cool), and I spent all of the pre-race and post-race time with goofing off and relaxing. Who could ask for more?

Most importantly, my most recent last race was not a "fail" and I am really looking forward to the Disneyland 1/2 over Labor Day weekend. I have another 1/2 marathon in less than 3 weeks from now. Then, I'll spend the next 5 1/2 months strengthening and getting fit so that I can improve my pace.

I had 65 minutes of deep water water aerobics last night. It's the first time I've done something like that, and my DD23 (Jenn) went with me because I was a coward. :rolleyes1 We had such a great time and a fantastic workout. I could really feel the workout but it was a fantastic post-race way to burn some calories without stressing the muscles and joints too much. I am totally sold on this and will realy endeavor to get there at least one night a week.

From this morning:

30 mins strength
45 mins cardio

That leaves me 170 minutes left to grind out before tomorrow night at midnight! pixiedust: princess:

Leaving work now to head to the gym!

Tuesday, Feb 28 - 90 minute walk and 44 minute yoga.

1422/1500

Thank goodness for Leap Year. :)

Got it another 60 minutes tonight - 15 min strength, 45 cardio. I have a feeling I will be taking March 1st as a rest day! :thumbsup2

Good work, LuLu!

Total is 3288/3000

I will post March, Cam, but I won't be able to do april as I have a scoring job starting the 4th - 50+ hours/week online is enough! LMK!

:rotfl:

Good work, LuLu!

You too tiki!

1466/1700 That's probably as many minutes as I will get. sigh Technically, I'm supposed to run today (well yesterday, but I subbed all day) but it is windy and off and on snowy and I just plain don't want to! Did do my 3 mile walk this morning. Came home drenched and cold--even the dog wasn't happy the last 3/4 mile! :rotfl: But now I've had a pot of tea and will soon drain the hot water tank. :cloud9: Tomorrow is a new day!

Cam: great job! Love hearing about your race. You rock!!!

Way to go with those minutes, everybody. Here's to a great March! :cheer2:

Great job, everyone!! Woohoo!! :woohoo: You guys totally ROCKED this challenge!! :yay: :cheer2:  :thumbsup2

I am still hoping there will be more minutes earned today, and I'll update as long as anyone posts minutes earned in February.

Julie - Thanks for taking over for March!

I had 35 minutes on the bike last night, bringing me to 1725/1500.

I am hoping to earn another 65 minutes tonight at a deep water aerobics class, though I am pretty exhausted. I've hit my goal here AND have worked out at the YMCA more than 12 times this month, so I'll get the frequent Y'er prize for February. I guess whether I go tonight depends on just how fried I am by the time I leave work. I had a trial today and am just drained.

Feb. 29 - 55 minutes cardio (Nordic Track and bike)
