February Character Sightings!

Thanks for all the great info :thanks: I will have to review it before we go back in April :cloud9:

Just curious when Mary Poppins is out and about at World Showcase. I would LOVE to meet her, but I cancelled our ADR at the 1900 Park Fare Breakfast!

I have seen Mary Poppins out and about all week in the World Showcase as you are walking from the UK toward the International Gateway. She seems to be a regular there.

We were there the last week of January, and everyone else's experience is pretty similar. I haven't seen Tweedledee/Tweedledum mentioned(may have just missed it), but they were at the Animation Building. I'm guessing that the Alice characters may be a bit more prominent, since the remake is coming out soon(at our local Disney Store, there was a new Alice display with new items today).

Didn't see anyone at the spot between Canada/UK. Didn't even realize there WAS a character spot there, and we bounced around there probably a half-dozen times.

The Mary Poppins at the DHS Animation Building was great. She talked to my daughter for about five minutes, and then took her by the hand(I felt bad, since others were in line waiting) to meet Belle, who was standing nearby. Probably spent 8-10 minutes with my daughter, who will never forget it.

Haven't seen Jafar mentioned...he was at the DHS Animation building as well.

My DD has been wanting to meet Marie from "The Aristocats"! She is her favoitie character and even has a Marie room! I am soooo hopefully that she will finally get her wish and she will be out in France when we are there!!!:cool1:

Glad I added several blank pages in my boys autograph book!! Looks like we will be meeting some characters that we have never seen before!!! Whoo hoo!!!

What are the best times to try and find characters at their "testing spots" i.e., intl. gateway and amer. adventure at epcot and the old pocahantas location in AK?

also, in epcot, where exactly are they - do you have to go inside the IG bldg and where are they at amer. adventure?

thanks for the help!

I havent had much experience over at EPCOT however at DAK at GTGS the Characters are usually out around 10:30 until around 1pm or so. They are not out too long. Id suggest getting there before lunch.

I do know from memory when I was in Attendant training and we were over at the AA at EPCOT we were in a very large alley almost as you leave AA, we were there for only a few hours from about 11 - 2

I would be so happy about this too!! I am keeping my fingers crossed SUPER tight that Rabbit will still be around in May.

We saw Rabbit at MK on November 18th last year, and I didn't know then he was rare, and passed by saying we'd get him next trip. Once I found out, I kicked myself so hard. I hope you see him in May!

It has been my experience that at the American Adventure and Millenium Village the characters are out in the early afternoon between 1 and 3. The last couple of days have not been appearing at those two sites but at the International Gateway. The times I have seen them out at the International Gateway are between 3 and 4pm. Yesterday (2-6) Princess Tiana was out at 3 and 4 with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Chip, Dale, Brer Bear, Mr Pensuin, Stitch and Foulfellow out at 3:30 and 4:30pm. At the International Gateway the characters are outside on the walkway next to the store by the water.

At the Animal Kingdom I have seen the characters out around 10:15 and again at 11:15. I think they are out again in the afternoon but I have not been there at that time to see for myself. Hope this helps!

Remember these are training spots so you can never be sure of times or days.

For the Good Times Gatherin Spot 9Pocahontas old show) do you walk into where it was or just outside where the line formed? Thanks!

The Good Times Gathering Spot will be roped off until the characters come out. Once the characters arrive they will open the rope and you will be lead back into the area. It is a random character spot so you never know for sure exactly when and what characters will be there. I have seen characters there at around 10:15am, 11:15am, and today around 2:35pm. Today when I arrived at 2:35pm the characters were Brer Bear, Brer Rabbit, Marie, Meeko, Stitch, Timon, Rabbit, Tigger and Pooh. Good luck, hope this helps! Forgot Baloo also!

Yes, it was Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh!

Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh was at Chrystal Palace on Easter Sunday (dinner time) 2009. Tigger, Pooh, Piglet, and Eayore were also there. Rabbit was not doing the rounds but was in the lobby as a meet and greet type of thing for about a half hour.

Maybe it was an Easter Sunday - rabbit type of special thing.

PS - The Easter bunny as in town square of course on Easter Sunday also.
