But, OMG, I lOVE music. How it makes me feel, the stories it tells, the memories it pulls out to the fore front and the emotions it evokes. Everytime I see a really talented singer, actor or musician and see them perform, especially live, it always brings tears to my eyes. I just can't imagine what a wonderful feeling they must have on stage and letting loose. I'm a mess when I go see a Broadway show or any musical anywhere really. What ever words I write I can't fully explain how music moves me.
I am so right there with you Dee. People probably think I'm emotionally unstable because I cry at everything - movies, TV shows, Fantasmic, but music/musicals especially. That reminds me, I have to remember to bring tissues with me to the shows this time!
I'm a closet singer, I sing at home even though I'm apparently not very good. I also love the singing video games (American Idol, Guitar Hero WT, HSM, even Disney Sing It, although the HSM and Disney Sing It songs are probably a bit too young for me

) and get pretty good scores, but it's easier to stay on pitch then hit actual notes, so that's not really a good gauge. My son and I sing silly songs or songs we hear while we're driving, but most times it's just me singing and driving him crazy. He'll probably never watch Enchanted again - I've had that "How do you know" song stuck in my head since Saturday and he looks at me like he's going to die every time I start singing it again

! I also really wanted to be in drama when I was in high school, but we had a really tough group of drama snobs and they just didn't like me (they didn't like a lot of people - I didn't take it too personally), so I played sports instead. I guess that makes me a wanna be drama queen
We are bracing for all that cold you guys to the west have been having, but I don't think they're calling for significant snow here in MD. While I love snow, I could do without any snow around here - people in this area just FREAK OUT

when it's calling for snow, and then when it actually does snow everyone acts like they've never seen it before in their lives and they just don't know how to function. It's really ridiculous. And heaven forbid if you actually need to drive anywhere in the snow

.
I am finished with my door magnets, waiting for a few finishing touches for my FE gifts to arrive so I can finish putting them together, made my packing list, continued to add things to my packing pile, and this weekend I'll actually start putting things in our suitcases. I still have a lot to do, but my son is having an extended sleepover at my mom's this weekend since he is off school for MLK's Birthday and then Inauguration Day, so I expect to get a bunch done then. Everyone here is waiting for the Inauguration to be over simply because it's going to be absolutely miserable for those of us that live here. Multiple road closings, businesses shut down, millions of guests clogging up the roads that are open, you couldn't pay me to go any closer than we already are to DC from Friday afternoon until Wednesday at least. Oh well, at least I don't have any hotels or significant historical places close to my house - I'll just shut myself in for the weekend

. Just wondering, does every drugstore, grocery store, Target, and
Walmart in the country have a full selection of Obama inauguration memorabilia or is it just here? I thought about putting an Obama item in everyone's FE because they are soooo readily available, but I didn't know how everyone would feel about that - the last thing I want to be subjected to on my vacation is political talk (which always turns into political arguing!).
As far as excursions go, I'll probably get off the boat to hit Margaritaville in Key West (and grab a Key Lime Pie on a stick yum) and in Grand Cayman - I'm a huge Buffet fan and want a tshirt from all the Margaritavilles. And of course, I'll have to have a drink since I'll be right there! If my mom wants to do any shopping we may do that on GC too. No planned excursions though. At Cozumel we are doing the dolphin thing at Chakunab (sp?) through Disney. Does anyone know if they let us look around a bit after the dolphins or if we have to come right back to the dock on the bus? I'm trying to figure out how much cab fare I'll need if Disney makes us come back to the dock and we decide to go back on our own for awhile - any ideas? I've gone back and forth about the stingrays on CC - my mom is totally paranoid about it, I thought it would be cool for my son and I (and to mess with her a bit

) but we decided against it since the dolphins are so expensive.
Anyway, welcome to all the new comers! In case you couldn't tell, I'm a bit long winded - sorry. I hope everyone is as excited as I am

!
