February 4th, 2012 MAGIC 7 night Western cruise

I don't know our room number by heart...you think I would, but I will post soon.

Hi magic458 ~

Would your party like to be included in the Fish Extender exchange?

That goes for anyone. There's still time to join if you'd like to participate!!!

Sharon

I have been OBSESSED with this FE thing! I think a Disney monster has been created . . . ME!! LoL! This is our first cruise but I have a feeling it won't be out last. I love the DISboards and all who are a part of it - you all make every trip that much more MAGICAL! Can't wait to meet you in February

I'm the Disney fanatic in the house, but I have created an obsessed FE fanatic in my DW. She has been making gifts for over a month already.:rotfl2:

BTW, we also have our friend, an adult male, and our DS 4years old in our room. 6540

Thanks Sharon for looking those up for me... At least there is hope with one beach excursion in Grand Cayman-Lets see what happens when it is time to book- I still have a few weeks to go....

For snorkeling, just buy your own gear and take it to a beach and dive in. You don't have to worry about ages then.

My 8 year old will be doing some snorkeling with us .... can't wait.

We are still waiting on our date for Palo and excursions, but I guess I missed some of the excursions list because you all are mentioning ones that I didn't know about.

Hallo everybody :) :hippie:

wow i can´t imagine that the first excursions are sold out :confused3 . It´s our first cruise - so i hope we could do the things we like.

I´m looking forward with anticipated pleasure - and also my husband gets slowly excited.

Still 3 month to go

WOW! There are tons of us first timers here.

The number of excursions is incredible as we are currently making final decisions.

NOTE: I think I would be careful before overcommitting on Cozumel until the full report of hurricane damage comes up on the forums here. It was "only" a cat 2, but hurricanes can really change up the reefs.

Hi Sopandbass. First off - thanks for organizing the FE list! :worship: This is our second disney cruise (myslef pirate:, DW princess:, DD9, DD5) and the FE gifts were great fun for the kids. Let me know if you want me to send along our cabin number. We also have 2 other neighborhood families on the same cruise that will be joining the FE list shortly as well - both have DH & DW with 2 DDs. :grouphug:

See you all,
Intlman

:dance3: Greetings ~

When planning your FE gifts, please add a DFriend (Adult) and DS4 to the Goofy39.3 party and DH to ClassicPooh2.

Thanks!

When figuring out the FE gifts, how do you usually do the gifts, 1 gift per family, 1 gift per stateroom or 1 gift per person in stateroom? This is our first cruise as well.

Thanks.

I can't sign up for any of our activities until Nov 21st, since this is our first cruise. I do know that I'm hoping to book Palo and a spa treatment, not sure what excursions to sign up for. On our Royal Caribbean cruise two years ago each excursion we signed up for got cancelled due to rough waters and bad weather. I need to start reviewing the Disney excursions so I'm ready when the time comes.

Oh, I would also like to know how you do the gifts. Because i would love to being part of FE group. But we came frome europe and therefore i´m bit afraid of the luggage.

I think it would be a lot of fun for our son (5) and me as well :)

I'm going to do a gift per stateroom/couple but a little something for each child for their pocket. I'm sure the kids will get a lot from pirate night so I'm trying to think of something else to do for them. This is our first Disney cruise with the FE exchange. All I know about it is what I've read on the boards and some of the ideas that people have done. I know my kids will be excited. I honestly think that everyone will be doing a little something different from what I read- some do for everyone, some for the kids, some for the room-I would say its what will work best for you-what ever you do it will be appreciated by all-its the thought that counts :)

Hey JLitfin ~

Either one gift per stateroom or one per person is fine. It all depends on what you'd like to do. Some people give small trinkets to each person, some make more than one delivery in the week, some deliver one item per stateroom (usually something everyone can use).

Hope your planning is going well!!!

Aside from the Fish Extender exchange, one event that kids seemed to enjoy on one of our previous cruises was a postcard exchange.

You bring enough postcards to exchange with all the other kids on the list and you print some kind of message on the back of the postcard with your name or whatever info you'd like. This way, the kids have a quick geography lesson (the postcards were from different cities, towns, villages, states, provinces, countries) and they meet each other while exchanging the cards. This gives them an opportunity to see who might be in the club when they're there or just gives them a sense of who's onboard with them. And since there's a built-in icebreaker with the postcards, it's not as threatening to kids who might be shy or hesitant.

Just a thought.

Love it!!! I think that is a great idea!!! I'm in for it. Is nice for the kids to see what States and Countries everyone is from and its inexpensive- Good Suggestion!!!

That sounds great!! I'm in for that - my children are sort of shy & this is the perfect thing for them. If you are making a list please let me know so you can add my children :woohoo:

Thanks guys, I believe I've decided what to do for my FE gifts. I'm looking so much forward to this cruise.

Now that we're settled back in and winter looms, I can start planning the FE treats. Yippee!!

"WINTER LOOMS" Ughhhhhhhhh!:scared1:

Although I must say that snow and ice and freezing temperatures make cruising in February all the better as long as you can get out of the snow and ice and freezing temperatures!:cool2:
