February 28, 2009 Bushwacker Banditos Magical Cruise

That's what I wanted to do too! I really want to see Cinderella's castle at the Magic Kingdom. I want to take my daughter to the character breakfast or lunch. Still gotta talk my hubby into agreeing though...

I hope I could!!

Well after getting off the Magic in L.A. we realized that the worst part of the cruise is not the early wake up on the last day, it is the flight back to L.A. So we have deciced that any cruise that goes back to Port Canaveral will be followed by at least two days after at WDW just to kinda wind down before flying home. We already go two days before as we have to fly stand by, so to play it safe we leave two days early.

hey....that's good thinking!
i've learned so much from you guys on this board!
i know after his cruise, i'm gonna be a repeat cruiser! for sure i'm booking another one while onboard! :)

Hi Everyone!

I've finally had a chance to get back on here!!! The wedding was sooooooo beautiful! The bride was gorgeous, the groom handsome (of course, he's my DS :goodvibes), and the weather was perfect. And the best part of all is they wrote their own "commitment of their love" which they said to each other after they exchanged rings. I almost cried, I was so happy for them.

But, I've been exhausted all week....no one told me how much there was to do afterwards. I think I need a vacation. :dance3:

I have been watching the weather though as DS and DDIL are taking a cruise for their honeymoon. They fly to Miami this Sunday and then will be on the RCCL's Majesty of the Seas for a four night cruise--Tuesday in Nassau, Wednesday at CocoCay, and Thursday at Key West and returning home on Friday. That is if Tropical Storm Hanna cooperates. :scared1:

Seems like I have a lot of catching up to do on here...

Uh, Tink, I don't think you want me doing any Gloria Gaynor impersonations that is not until I've had at least 3 or 4 Bushwackers...:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Alan, you're welcome! Part of the reason I like SWA is because of their employees--always friendly and helpful. I booked on Friday but I did check Thursday and they were the same price. We will be going to WDW after the cruise too and staying at our DVC home resort of BCV. Not sure if we will come home Monday or Tuesday. Depends on the airfares.... Where are you and your family staying at in WDW?

DING is not as good as it used to be. It is for last minute and it can be specific to certain routes, certain days and certain flights. When it first started it was more broad in scope and easier to get better prices. I still use it though.

Hope everyone enjoys their Labor Day weekend. We plan to just chill by the pool!!!!!!!!

Oh BJ, I  Donna. She is for sure a part of the BUSHWACKER gang.... I forgot, who agreed to pick up the tab this cruise, you or Johhna? Donna, you can join the gang and one of them is picking up the tab.... :lmao: I have to get a few in you to celebrate the wedding that "YOU DID SURVIVE". :rotfl: :rotfl: . No, I really am happy for you..... Bring at least one picture for us to see unless you post it....

Just wanted to tell you guys that the Tink Family is almost back to normal. DD still complaints of her ears hurting, but I starting her on some antibiotics today thinking it is starting an ear infection from the fluid running back from after the surgery. We were having a little problem in the bathroom as she had not eatten in 10 days and have been on such much Codiene that it just kind of backed her up, if you know what I mean???? But NURSE MAIDE mommy got it going. The good thing is she has lost 10 pounds :woohoo: (once you other guys see my little Tinker you will know why this is good). See BJ, we did not do it right last cruise. We need to have our tonsiles out and we do not have to do Jenny Craigg. Cost about the same doesn't it? JUst to let you know, I have not placed that "D" word in my vocabulary for this cruise.

Well I will check back in. Just had to make sure you were not calling me crazy after I started that thread on the pillowcases.;) I know, just more stress to the plate right. I rather sew than eat though. My stress buster...:wizard:

Oh Boy! I get to be part of the Bushwacker Gang!!!!!! :cool1: :cool1:

I'll try to post a picture or two as soon as we get them back!

Now, if I could quit worrying about Tropical Storm Hanna...maybe I should have a Bushwacker now. Anyone have the recipe?

Donna

Wow! Long thread!
I just wanted to pop in and say hi!
I am mostly a lurker (can't you tell by my whooping post count?) :rotfl:
DH and I will be embarking on our first cruise to go to his native island (St Croix), I have never been there, so he decided a DCL was the best way to go :cool1:

We'll have a cat 6 stateroom and the REAS package. Yay!

I am so happy Disney included St Croix on an itinerary now.
Anyhow... Nice to meet you all!

We will most likely be staying at POR. Airfare is usally the same on Thursday and Friday. The good days are Sat. Tues. and Wed.

Alan..I'm hoping for a little Southwest pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: for our airfare to go down :) right now it is at $202 P/P one way. Last year we REALLY got lucky, as we got it for $59 one way.

Even if it doesn't go down, it is still cheaper than any other airline ( for us anyway)

Thanks! I have already been interrogating him about the excursions, he said he actually did most of them as school trips back when he was little. We'll probably skip them at St Croix and meet someone from his family and run around until embarkation time.

I will let you guys know if he has any info on any activities on the island any of you are interested on. :yay:

My bar tab will be quite enough, thank you very much. There's no way I can cover all you lushes. :scared1:

Welcome ChocoKat!! Once we figure out what we are considering for the excursions, we'll totally need your hubby's advice. If you want the official Dis list for this cruise, let me know. Send me a pm or email me at jerseygirlstory@gmail.com. Let us know your real name, where you're from, what your room number is, and any special occassions you're celebrating on the cruise - like your DH's homecoming!

Hope to hear more from you on the boards! Johnna

I really do not know what will happen with our prices. All I k ow is our fuel bill is jumping like 400 million next year. I would really say to look out for either Orlando or you home airport to go the featured destionation of the week. Usally really good deals. Alson in St. Croix we are off to the Cruzon Rum factory. As for as bushwackers go, I plan on getting mine in St. Thomas at Paradise Point.
