February 28, 2009 Bushwacker Banditos Magical Cruise

that would be awesome if they show the Lakers game on the big screen

Yes it would. Then I could have either pizza or Brats. durring the game to go with my bucket of beer. If not, it is not all lost, I line the hot dogs in Diversons as well.

yup, 16 days till I leave and 17 days till I get on the Disney Magic:thumbsup2

Hey can you find out when you go on Disney Magic when Brent - cruise director - is coming back after his vacation. I know he is there right now and Christiaan will replace him on March 14th. I just wondering how long is his vacation and when he will be coming back on the Magic. Please, we just want to plan our next cruise this summer when Brent is there. Totally like him ;-)

Dave - a quick count of kids from the list I've been keeping gives us:

Age:
0-3: 4
4-6: 9
7-9: 8
10-12: 6
teens: 6
TOTAL: 33 (ish!)

Just ballparks - not sure I got everyone in the right category.

I would have to agree with Alan and Marla that 3:30 could be tight; but I'm sure you'll find a way to be here before take off! If you don't make the meet, we'll find you on deck. I'm sure we'll be able to pick you out in the crowd, what with all the pictures we have of you and all. :goodvibes

EVERYONE - especially newbies: if you want to be on the list and get a copy, make sure I get your info. I prefer PM, but if you can't do that, just email me at jerseygirlstory@gmail.com

I have not yet added Pit303; anyone else I've missed???

Sorry if that's the case - I'm going to update and send it tomorrow I hope, so send me your info asap... Johnna

Incase anyone else has been wondering I just looked how many rooms are available in each category for our cruise.

4 - several
5 - GTY only
6 - 1
7 - GTY only
8 - 3
9 - GTY only
10 - 1
11 - 3

Looks like our boat is filling up!

Okay... ? about them please. We don't have them here in Alberta, so I am just wondering...how do they work? I mean I get the whole premise... that you do have to pay to go on them. But is it exact change that you need...or are there booths or ticket kiosks to pay?
If we are doing the straight shot from the airport to Canaveral which I think is the 528 Beachline Expressway. Is this a toll road?

Wow Jennifer, there aren't a heck of alot of cabins left at all are there!! Thanks for sharing that!

Dave, we probably won't be spending the loot on alot of pictures as you are right, our own digital takes just as good of a shot! It might be the occasional one that might peak our interest that we will invest in! Thank goodness the cost of memory sticks etc have gone down lately!!

Woohoo way to go Johnna! Ordering smaller sizes... congratulations!!

Thanks
Wanda

Hello fellow cruisers on the 2/28 Magic...my wife and I booked this cruise for three reasons....first, its a Disney cruise....secondly, the fall back offer....but mostly because my mom passed away this past September 6th after a horrible battle with liver cancer. She have a small amount of money, and after paying all funeral expenses and give each of the 7 grandchildren $1000.00 each we had $12000.00 left. My sister, brother and myself then split the remaining money. My wife and I decided that we would use this money for something we love doing, which is Disney....anything Disney. So we booked this cruise date since it would have been my mom's 85th birthday. So when we get on the ship, the sailaway party will be her birthday party....we will toast her at dinner and sing Happy Birthday to her.
To make this a little more special, we just added my MIL to the reservation, last minute and converted the reservation to the Florida resident rate since she lives in New Port Richey....and ended up with a credit of $100.00, although we did lose our $200.00 onboard credit...so we are looking forward to this cruise...in memory of mom!

See you all aboard.....

Tom:cool1: Marilou:cheer2: and Norma:flower3:

:welcome: TChrist05 and Family!
What a nice thing to do for your family... to honor your Mother and Grandmother'e memory... and to make some more special family :grouphug: memories together.

No worries kids... the cruise documents and the Disney checklist both say to be on board by 4pm. We'll already be checked in so it's just like a port day for us. We won't miss the ship!

Welcome aboard TChrist... hope you all have a nice time.

Still no docs for me....:sad1:

Do they come regular mail or by UPS or FedEx or something?

TChrist05 welcome to our silly little group!
This is a fun bunch we got here!

Ness I don't know about the States, but up here in Canada the docs came via Fed Ex.

Fingers crossed that they come to you soon!!

Hi Everyone! My first post and my first cruise EVER!! We just signed up for this cruise on Friday. I feel so behind! I had no idea that people planned these trips so far out! It was totally a last minute decision with out tax return. My DH just returned from a six month deployment to Iraq on October(took the kids to WDW for the first time in April 08 before that one). Now he will be going out again some time this summer, so we decided to forgo the responsible choices of how to use our tax return and schedule this cruise again. His theory is that he would much rather the kids have memories that last a lifetime, than new appliances in the kitchen, if he doesn't return. We got an amazing military discount so it was way too good to turn down.

We are have a Cat 9 Oceanview room, I believe 2012 in the room number. I really didn't care where our room was. I figured we probably wouldn't be spending much time in there anyway, but I thought the kids would enjoy the window.

I am looking forward to absorbing as many tips from you veterans as I can to make this the most amazing experience possible. At least whatever I can do in the next couple weeks!!

I want to know all the insider stuff! Whats up with the signs on the doors? Am I supposed to make one of those? Those kinds of things. So HELP!!

It will be myself, my DH, DD (9), and DS (4).

Thanks to everyone! I know I am going to get hooked right away and want to start planning the next one before this one even begins.

How do I get one of those cute little countdowns on my signature?

Told you, I want to know it all!

Meredith

Welcome. I would like to thank your husband for all he does in our armed forces. This will be such a great memory for you and your family.
