February 27th 2011 Mexican Riviera aboard the Wonder

Wow, thanks...those navigators are so fun to look at!

Has anyone seen any of the menus yet??? Looking forward to the yummy food!

I'm not sure why we have to do the check in times. I've not done mine yet. I will be putting the earliest time as I want to make sure I get the Tea With Alice and it is first come first served basis. Also through experience the restaurant is really empty if you get on early but fills very quickly the later you arrive.

I've not seen any menus yet but I am really looking forward to the Krispy Kreme doughnuts on the breakfast buffet :)

I love Krispy Kreme as well...however, I'm going to try to find one before we get on the ship...they just don't taste the same if they are not fresh...yes I am a Krispy Kreme snob! Since we moved from California, I miss them even more. Dunkin Donuts just isn't the same.:goodvibes

Alright...just looked up Krispy Kreme locations (in case you are driving by)....Long Beach is at 4760 Los Coyotes Diagonal, Long Beach, CA and in LA at 4034 Crenshaw Blvd)....just in case anybody was wondering....

I have a newbie question:headache:, the time that is post (11:15aM) in Cabo, this is time of the ship or time of Cabo????:confused3
TIA

Starting to finalize our door decor to print out for the cruise. I didn't think twice about having some pics and/or names of our family. Other people in a few threads seemed concerned about this. Am I just too trusting? Anyone have any issues with putting their names/pics out there? My kids are fully aware of appropriate behavior with and of strangers and they are somewhat older at 11 and 9. It's a shame that nowadays this is something to think about.

Your thoughts would be appreciated!

:goodvibes

You're fine. Don't worry about it. Seriously. :hippie:

Trust the good people of our cruise.

Maybe I live on a different planet, but I have no problem with this.

See you soon!

Meredith in Utah

We have our kids names on the magnets and didn't find it a problem last time so we will be taking the same ones again. We've also got a white board so that we can communicate with our eldest as it's the only way we can speak to him as we hardly ever see him!!

We'll have magnets with our names on them as well. My kids know stranger danger rules and just because someone knows your name, it doesn't mean that you can trust them. We even have a code phrase that they have to be given to go somewhere with a family member or family friend. Plus they are at the age where they will either by in the club or with us all the time.

Thanks for all your input! I tend to look at the world through Disney-colored glasses... :3dglasses
I am truly much happier not being suspicious of everyone (don't get me wrong I am very cautious!) but, I do believe that the 99.9% of the people in the world are good people. :grouphug:

Now back to our door decor! Woohoo!!!

Can't wait!!!

Pam :yay:

This website has some of the menus scanned...I don't know how recent they are but it gives a general idea.

I can't post url but if you google Platinum castaway club it comes up first. The website name has "disney cruiser info" in it.

Anyone know how accurate the DCL website Dining menus are?

We can't wait to try everything!
:stir::stir::stir::stir:

Well, I haven't been on the Wonder yet, but on the magic (granted last time we went it was Dec. 2008) it seems like there were more options that what is listed. I don't know for sure, but that is what I can remember.

EDITTED: I just saw on the link that there is actually a menu tab....missed that the first time, so that looks like what would be offered. Sorry to jump the gun!

Ah just been looking at the menus, yum yum. Last year on the Magic it was the same kind of thing. The food is gorgeous, I can't wait :yay::yay:

We will be the family that will be taking loads of pics of all the food! :rotfl:

It all looks so delicious with great presentation. I hope we don't get spoiled... or I hope we do! Lol! :drinking1: Ahhhh!

Pam

Yes, we are...we aren't telling them until we pull up to the port as well. We have done a surprise Disney cruise once before for them and it was priceless...we even got it on video.

I just went back into the online checkin and redid a bunch of stuff I already did! I find it very odd about the arrival time. What time is everybody putting? The earliest I could put down was 10:30 - 11:00. Was there any earlier time? I'll be there earlier, so hope they don't have a problem with that!

We aren't telling our kids either. We just watched the planning video last night and they are begging us to go on a cruise! We can't wait to see their reactions, hoping I can pack everything without them catching on.

Now for a little change of subject -

Have any of you been able to re-book port excursions for our NOW Cabo day, March 3rd? I have been on the Disney website 2-3 times a day since they announced that Mazatlan was being removed from the itinerary. I have called numerous times, and have just been told I can only book port excursions online. But I am still unable to do that! :headache: That is my birthday, so I really want to make sure we have something booked that day. And to top it all off, someone on the Passporter boards, who is going several weeks AFTER our cruise, said she was able to make her change already! :confused3

I just checked online and when I selected a Cabo excursion it gave me the option of choosing either day we are in Cabo. Maybe the excursion you are trying to book isn't available March 3rd??? I don't know....good luck.

I'm a bit confused on why we had to do the online check in 2 times???

What is the ideal time to get to port? I was thinking 11am because I heard they don't board until 12:30ish.

We chose the 11:00-11:30 slot. The 10:30 slot was available but I don't know exactly when they start letting on the ship and I know I don't want to be waiting at the port too long w/2 kids asking me every 2 seconds when they can get on the ship. :rotfl:

Wanted to come in here and post, WE GOT OUR DOCS VIA FEDEX YESTERDAY!!!

Oh and Dh made some magnets with our names on them too...not really worried about it. We just figure that they won't probably steal them since the are personalized. :)

We did the online check in last night and the 10:30 slot was not an option. Oh well, we are gonna get there whenever the Crowne Plaza shuttle gets us there. ;)

Hi, I also am on that cruise. After a not so nice email to them on Monday about the subject. I was able to book on Tuesday. I woudl try that route.

For anyone who can't book excursions or don't know which they want to go on, you can book them onboard as well so try not to panic too much if there is something you want to do but can't book it yet.

The excitement is getting up in our house now, we ordered the last bits for the adult FE gifts yesterday so they will hopefully come before next weekend so we can put it all together and then we just need to do the gifts for the kids, which are currently working progress!!
