Hi All!

Just thought I'd drop in and see what's going on with the group. I have a couple of updates to share:

My sister, Vieva, is NOT joining us on this cruise. So it's just rahrah (DH) and me. We have ressies for a Day 3 Palo brunch, the St. Maarten Under 2 Flags Island Tour (8:45am) and the St. Thomas Coral World Ocean Park & Scenic Drive (8am). Believe it or not, we are both under 50 years old! :rotfl2:

After the cruise, we are heading back to WDW for a few days. We usually do 1 park per day and only do what we feel like doing. (No running from ride to ride trying to do everything! It's one of the beauties of having DS in college...) :cool1:

I think that pretty much brings us up to date with the group. I only have to study and take the bar exam before the cruise. :scared1:

Have a Happy New Year! We'll see you soon in Port Canaveral...

mmhhmm

Thanks for the update. I have it noted in the Master List. Good luck with the bar exam !!!:cheer2:

Just wanted to update my info. Now that the holidays are over I will be checking the boards more.
Karen (Celebrating my 35th bday and graduating from Grad school)
Justin (34)
Hailey (3.5)
Ryan (1)
From Rhode Island

Looks like we have been switched to first seating for dinner. I am not sure about FE game yet.

Haven't signed up for any excursions yet- not sure what to do with 2 little ones.
Eating at Palo the St. Martin night (I think). Couldn't get into brunch (except on a port day and would like to get off the boat.

My 3 year old is so excited, she can't wait!! I am hoping that there will be someone close in age in our group that she can 'get to know' beforehand as she will separate better if she already knows someone.

Spooner 11, Great to get the update ! I'll add it to the Master List !

Just some ideas for excursions :

Check out :

St Maarten....Island Drive & Explorer Cruise

I didn't care for Under 2 Flags Tour.. sad seeing the depressed ,poor area of the island, kids got bored

another St Maarten idea...just take the ferry from the Magic to Great Bay Beach which is within walking to shopping, too. The ferrys are constantly going back and forth so you can leave when you want, and won't have to worry about the little ones getting too much sun !

Can't remember if you said you'd been to St Thomas before. Coral World and the adjacent beach would be fun. Also ,an island tour would be fun. I think St Thomas is a beautiful island. We have booked a tour through Sunny Liston.Check out his website : www.sunnylistontours.net . He is recommended by lots of people on these boards.

I have added in red whose doing the Fish Extender gift exchange.

Please let me know of any errors. And if you'd like to be included in the FE let me know.

Also, when you get your stateroom assignment I'll add it to the Master List if you want me to. I imagine those on guarantee status will begin hearing from DCL with a cabin # in the next few weeks.:grouphug:

Go to DCL.com
click on Already Booked
Enter Res #, DOB, click Retrieve
Look under My Reservation...you'll see Stateroom and it should say Guarantee Cat # x or it will have your stateroom #

There is always a chance you could get upgraded but doesn't happen very often. Don't want you to get your hopes up and then be disappointed. I did see on the Disboards people that are sailing the end of Jan were getting their cabin (stateroom) assignments.

We are going on a Baltic cruise in July and have a Cat 8 Guarantee. I'm hoping for balcony cabin but don't think I'll get one. I'm really not sure how the upgrade thing works :confused3. There are a couple of recent threads that talk about upgrades. Check that out.

I was on the cruisecritic.com Port-of-call boards last night reading about St Maarten. Most were last years posts that I was reading, so things could have changed. But there was talk about Great Bay Beach being poluted. There were even pictures showing sewage draining into the water. :scared1:

I know many of you are thinking about going there, including myself, since it's convienient to the ship. So you might want to do some research. This could be all cleaned up by now.:confused3 Just wanted to let you be aware of this.

I think we'd like to be involved in the Fish Exchange, but a question: If the list of participants becomes incredibly long, would we consider splitting it? I'm not sure I'd have the space for 50 small presents in my luggage, and I would be concerned about the increasing cost of participating. Thanks!

Happy New Year All

I have been told there is a way to get a Disney character to call you at home. I think the kids would love this but have not figured out how to do so on the web site. Anyone knw how?
Thanks
