February 27, 2010 Eastern Cruise on the Magic

OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG.........:cool1::banana::yay:

Mickey's MAGIC'al Castaways have.......1,2,3,4,5,6,7 Fridays til our cruise!!!

Does anyone know when we can find out what movies will be on our cruise? I am really excited for the movies! I really hope that Christmas Carol and Princess and the Frog are playing. :)

You can call 888-325-2500 , choose res option and ask which movies will be showing for the Magic's Feb 27 sailing. I would probably call Feb 1. I haven't seen Princess and the Frog cause I want to see it on the ship. I'm sure that will be playing. Saw Christmas Carol and enjoyed it....although kinda scarey. Not sure if they'll show that since it's a Christmas movie.:confused3

Don't laugh too hard....the other day I read your post, and I saw 2010...I thought that was your cabin # !:rotfl2: I need a cruise !!!

OH Scrappy! Funny, Funny! Nope, I don't know what our cabin number is and I will try and call in Feb to find out the movies!

Great Bay Beach is near where our ship docks & near downtown Philipsburg where people shop. This is the beach I've read about the pollution problems. :scared1: And saw pictures too. You can go on cruisecritic.com and go to Boards then Ports of Call then Caribbean then St Maarten and search for Great Bay Beach. Orient Beach is a beautiful beach :thumbsup2 on the other side of the island.

I'll try to find it and paste it here.

Hi everyone! We just changed from the very expensive May 15 Med to this one. The dollar to euro is terrible and we decided we could spend a week at Disney and do a weeklong cruise for less money. It will be myself (Laura) and my DH, no kids this trip so we are very excited! Hopefully the weather will be better than it is right now down in Florida!

Hi!

I was reading through the posts on here so here is some more info:

Pre we are staying at POFQ and post we are staying at Beach Club Villas. No excursions yet but I am studying...we have only done the western and never the eastern so this will be exciting and different. We don't know our cabin yet since we are a gty 7 (hoping for an upgrade!). Just my DH and I celebrating a belated 16th wedding anniversary (our anniversary is Feb. 5).

Now back to reading!

Laura

WELCOME....IndyDisneyFan !!!:cheer2:

So happy to have you join our fun group !! Wow, a week at WDW + week on the MAGIC sounds wonderful !!!

If you're interested there will be a Meet& Greet Sunday 3pm, Embarkation Day Just prior to the Lifeboat Drill in the Promonade Lounge. Come join us !

Also we have a Fish Extender gift exchange, currently 12 cabins participating, if want to join. No pressure, just wanted to let you know.

Hello all... We just booked this cruise on Thursday night. We changed from the WB TA because our 2nd child will be born just a little too late to be able to board the Magic for her return trip next fall. So instead, we're taking our DD7 on one last "only child" vacation. But Shhhhh... we haven't told her.

Talray has Talena, Kurt and Ethan.

Question for cruisers: We reserved a Cat 6 cabin and were put on GTY status without requesting it. The cruise line called my agent yesterday and offered to upgrade us to Cat 4 for $300. Is that common? Is that a good deal? I turned it down, though they said we could still call until Friday if we change our mind.

Thanks!

We got bumped from a Cat 7 to a Cat 4 on our last Magic cruise (2008). The cabin itself was really nice, but we were located right next to the Walt Suite and every morning the noise overhead of deck chairs being moved woke us up. Granted, I'm a bit of a light sleeper, so YMMV. A $300 upgrade price sounds like a steal to me.

We're also a Cat 6 GTY this time around. I hate waiting to find out my stateroom number! :)

Now I just saw that *hopefully* alice in wonderland will be opening when we are onboard...right at the end! EEKS! I am so excited for that possibility. I don't know how much I'll like the movie but I figure, if I don't like it, at least I saw it onboard and not at home! Woooooo!

and if I don't like it ,at least Johnny Depp is in it

About the Characters calling the kids... I saw something on this once too, and can't remember where I saw it. It seems like it was geared to the parks??? I also thought I saw something on here about Mickey giving wake-up calls to our staterooms... Is this true? It's sounds cute :)

I have heard something about calling kids as well but don't remember where.

I do think that wakeup calls are Mickey's voice! I am going to try it at least once just to hear it.

Yes, Mickey,himself, will give you a wake-up call !

Speaking of calls....call 7-pals to find out where your Disney friends are onboard. You can check the Navigator,also.::MinnieMo:donald:::MickeyMo

Bring different color highlighters for each person in your cabin so they can mark which activities they don't want to miss.

Anyone else participating in this? We decided to volunteer with Project Linus and we are all making blankets to donate to sick and/or needy children. It will be a fun family project plus we get to spend the day before our cruise at WDW! We'll be there anyways since we are staying at POP Century. We didn't originally plan on going to the park but since we decided to participate in this promotion, its a great bonus!

Anyone deciding on doing this, do it soon so you get your voucher in time for the trip. Also, make sure you follow the sign up completely. They walk you through it so its easy but just make sure you do all of it.
:wizard:
