Feista... I just saw your video ! WOW ! Awesome ! If anyone hasn't seen it, you need to ! Talk about getting you in the mood !!

Are you guys participating in the FE ? Not meaning to push this on anyone. Just don't want to leave anyone out.

At the present we have 10 staterooms doing the FE. I am very busy these days working on mine.

TIP FOR THE DAY

Packing : Instead of using those expensive space bags, use the giant ziploc bags...work just as well.

Cover dresses,dress pants and dress shirts with plastic dry cleaner bags when packing them. Like magic...no wrinkles ! BUT, just in case...bring Wrinkle Release spray ( Downey ). I LOVE this stuff. You won't have to "fight" the hot crowded laundry room to iron.

Is anyone in the military or retired military w/ current ID card ?
DCL is discounting our cruise for those who qualify. Even if you've already paid in full you can get a refund !! We were able to save $725 since Bruce is retired Air Force !

I'm almost done with one of my homemade FE's. Turned out pretty cute

DCL's Rainforest...it's in the spa. You can pay by the day or the week. I think it's about $15/day...as many times as you want to use it. There is a sauna and there are tiled lounges that are heated, there's a fountain,a eucalyptus steam room,another sauna, special showers. Open 8am-10pm. It's very popular, so can be crowded on sea days. A good time to use it is when you come back from a day in port. It's very relaxing ! I usually go once or twice a week. Wear your swim suit.

My husband, 9 yr old daughter and I can't wait for this trip. We are from Maine and will enjoy a nice warm vacation by end of February. We have cruised on Royal Carribean before, but not Disney. My daughter Allie will be turning 10 on Feb.28 and she knows nothing about the trip yet. We plan to keep it a secret until the very end. I enjoyed reading all the post and welcome all the tips.

Just a reminder that some important dates are fast approaching.

November 29th (90 days) is when castaway club members can book spa and excursions (assuming you are paid in full).

December 14th (75 days) is when you have to pay the balance for your cruise, and non-castaway club members can book spa and excursions.

I will be paying my balance off this week so that I can book spa and excursions on SUNDAY!!!!

Not sure what you're wanting to book, but you should be ok. IF you don't get the Palo res you want, as soon as you board and before you have lunch and look around, go to Rockin' Bar D. That's where you can make Palo ressies.

The Sailing Regatta books up quickly, but I can't think of any other excursion ressies that might give you a problem.

I disappeared for a while and came back today to 15 PAGES!!!!! Very impressive

Count us in for the FE, my cabin only right now, but I will ask my parents if they are interested in doing it as well. I can't remember my cabin number right now, but I'll get it to you soon.

is planning to take a cab to mayo beach for the scenery and the planes flying right over. then using the water taxis between the ship and shopping. are these safe ideas. need all the advice i can get. maybe i should book a dcl excursion really not sure what to do.

The cutoff for the FE is Feb 7. That gives everyone time to shop or make their FE's. Also, I know many of you are heading to the park before the cruise.

Big Turkey12...Your plan sounds great. I think I would go to Maho beach by taxi in the AM and do the shopping and water taxi in the pm. I always feel better being close to the ship in the pm. Your son will enjoy seeing the planes . So close !! Cool ! Maho is a small clean beach with bar for refreshments.
