February 27, 2010 Eastern Cruise on the Magic

Mickey's MAGIC'al Castaways
have.......
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,:worship:10 :woohoo:Fridays til our cruise!!!
ALMOST IN SINGLE DIGITS!!!!

ooopppssss......me thinks I screwed up. I just added it up and there are actually :upsidedow 15 fridays to our cruise. Sorry for the false hopes..:rolleyes1

I just ordered 75 3" buttons with our logo !! They look GREAT !! They are $3.00 ea ( includes shipping ). I will have them at our DisMeet on Embarkation Day if you want one (or 2 or 3 or ? )

Also, if we want to print out a door magnet we could do that . And, as I mentioned the other day, you could print the logo on transfer paper to iron on a T-shirt.

Have Fun !!

TIP OF THE DAY

There is a small "refrig" in ea cabin. But not super cool, so we bring a medium roll-on soft-sided cooler to keep H2O and sodas in. Your Cabin attendant will keep it full of ice !

Did you know that DCL is one of the few cruise lines that allows you to bring wine, beer, alcohol on board ? Sodas are free at the soda dispenser on the pool deck, so no need to bring sodas on the ship unless you want some in your cabin:grouphug:

would you like us to send you the money early. i could send you a money order next week if you would like. thanks for ordering the buttons we are so excited. joanne and josh

AAAH! I was so excited for 10 Fridays! Oh well. Good thing you re-counted or we may have all left for our cruise early.

Cool about the buttons! Could you post a pic of them when you get them? We will for sure pick up some for ourselves! WOOO HOOOO!

Is anyone making themselves anything else with our logo? Tee shirts and such?

Yeah, we are making a door magnet with the logo on it!!! :cool1:

Oh my gosh ! I am just "sick" ! Just got an email from the button company. They cancelled my order !!:scared1: Said it was a copy right issue ?!?! :scared1:

I really hate to disappoint everyone ! I just don't know where to go from here ???:confused3 If anyone has any ideas let me know. (They did refund my cc)

On a brighter note, did anyone w/ Castaway Cay gold or platinum membership get their Palo / Shore Exc / Spa ressies today ?:grouphug:

Does anyone know where our logo with the broom holding the suitcases went? I can't seem to see it anywhere.

his suggestion for each of us to print it off and have it laminated the size of the key to the world card and then we put it in our lanyard that may be an option.

Joanne, Yes ! You are so right ! I've been searching all over these boards to find some way to make our buttonds. But I think printing/laminating our design to put on our lanyard would be the best solution. I hope I didn't disappoint everyone !

TIP of the DAY !

Dessert to go ! Have your waiter wrap up your dessert if your to full to eat it.It might make a good bedtime snack.

Order pb&j sandwiches from room service before you turn in.Then put them in ziploc bags for your excursion the next day.

Another room service treat :

choc chip cookies / milk
my Grandson ordered cheese pizza every day
order a MICKEY BAR !

Going to a show or a movie ?
Bring some of those choc chip cookies or bring "movie" candy from home

CASTAWAY CAY
On the lunch buffet ,don't miss the fresh fruit !:grouphug:

I am pretty sure I have seen clear buttons at AC Moore and Michael's. You can print anything you want out and make your own button. Might be a good idea if anyone wanted to make them for themselves or their familes.
:smickey:

THANKS ! I'll have to look for them. That would be a good FE !

Do you think we could get on the ship this week !?!?:worship:

I think we have decided to go to Orient Beach on our St. Maarten day. We are beach people and for the money I think this is one of the best things to do IMO.

We are taking our 1 year old this year on the cruise, but I think my wife is going to stay on the ship with her while we are in St. Maarten. We have friends going with us and they haven't ever cruised before. I thought they would enjoy going to Orient Beach.

Does anyone know if we can take our 1 year old to St. John? We are wanting to go back to Trunk Bay and snorkel. We just think Trunk Bay is so beautiful. On Disney's website it says 5 and older, but of course our 1 year old wouldn't snorkel. I'm thinking they will let us go there, but I didn't want to have any problems. What do you think?

Hi pjfreeman party of 6 !!

I totally agree about Orient Beach and St John...beautiful beaches !!
I did call DCL for you and they said the age restriction could be a third party or the vendor's rule in St Thomas due to transporting you over "high seas" to St John.
You could take the Red Hook Ferry on your own to St John. Just be careful with the ferry schedule and allow yourself plenty of time to get back to the ship.I understand completely about traveling with infants. Next summer we're going to the Baltic w/ our son's family that will include a 9 mos old.
There are nice snorkling beaches in St Thomas as well.Good luck !

BTW, is anyone in your party doing the FE ? What cabins are you booked in ?
Are you coming in early for the cruise ? Which dining seating do you have ?

Hope you'll join us on Embarkation Day at 3pm in the Promanade Lounge !!

Have fun planning ! Gina:grouphug:

Thanks Scrapy! Well I know that there are other excursions, through Disney, that go to St. John and they are for all ages. I think it is the island tours. So, I'm thinking they will be on the same boat going over to St. John as us. Like I said, we have done the snorkeling Trunk Bay excursion and there were several people on our boat on the way over. I'm thinking that it wouldn't be a problem to take our 1 year old, but I would hate to get turned away.

We don't really get into the FE thing, so you can count us out for now. Thanks anyway

Good luck with St John ! Thanks for letting me know about the FE. Just didn't want to leave anyone out !:thumbsup2
