Anyone doing an excursion in St Maarten ??

we have no idea
we heard you can buy an all day water taxi pass between the ship and i think 3 different stops near the shops.
i guess im still a bit nervous to eat off the ship. so i thought this way we could go back to the ship to eat and then go do a bit more shopping
i know dcl has a bus tour not sure what to do there
i guess im not sure what to do for the beaches. is it here there can be nude beaches. josh is 14 and i just dont want to risk that.
any suggestions of good things to do?isnt there a beach that the planes fly right over ?is that st maartens ? is this beach a nude beach??
is there a high look out place to take pictures in st maartens like there is in st thomas??
thanks so much for offering to do the buttons. we sure dont mind sending you the money. i wish i could come up with something inexpensive small light that we could use after. still thinking
i think your idea for those who want t-shirts to print it onto transfer paper
to make there own is a great idea.
all ideas for st maartens are so appreciated.

Also, buttons are fine by us. I didnt even think about someone having to lug all those t-shirts or whatever else with them. That would be tough!

We dont have any excursions planned yet.
And we haven't decided if we are going to book PALO yet. I'm pretty sure we will book for brunch (it is fabulous!!!) Dinner--we aren't sure yet. I don't know what night to book b/c we dont want to miss Pirate Night Dinner or Animator's Pallette.

I think the whole family is hitting up WDW b4 the cruise (Nokidz is my dad)

We are on the 2nd seating for dinner!

I think Ashley and I would like to join in on the FE, but let me ask her b4 anythings set in stone!

Yes we have cruise disney twice b4, Once with the family (nokidz) and once on our own. We loved both times and cant wait to go again!

At the top left hand corner of the disboards homepage, click on 'USER CP", then it should say somwhere 'edit signature"

The beach with the planes flying over is Maho Beach. It's a pretty beach.We were there briefly a couple of years ago just to take pictures. I don't believe there are nude sunbathers. St Maarten is divided into the Dutch and French side. I believe it's only on the French side where you see the nude people. Maho is on the Dutch side .This is the side we are docked at.St Maarten is pretty flat,unlike St Thomas.There is a water taxi that goes between the ship and the town of Philipsburg where you can shop.Also there is a small beach, I believe it's Great Bay Beach. There are chairs& umbrellas, live music, bar and food.

I wouldn't be concerned about eatting in St Thomas. St Thomas Virgin Islands is a territory of the US and they have to adhere to the same standards as the US.

Are you interested in a logo button or T-shirts ?

Usually I just print off the cruise DIS group logo and laminate it and have it in my lanyard plastic pouch with my KTTW card. I print it off the same size a the KTTW card. That way people can see your with the DIS group and it doesnt cost any money. When we did buttons before, some people lost them within the first day or so.

I just ordered 75 3" buttons with our logo !! They look GREAT !! They are $3.00 ea ( includes shipping ). I will have them at our DisMeet on Embarkation Day if you want one (or 2 or 3 or ? )

Also, if we want to print out a door magnet we could do that . And, as I mentioned the other day, you could print the logo on transfer paper to iron on a T-shirt.

TIP OF THE DAY

There is a small "refrig" in ea cabin. But not super cool, so we bring a medium roll-on soft-sided cooler to keep H2O and sodas in. Your Cabin attendant will keep it full of ice !

Did you know that DCL is one of the few cruise lines that allows you to bring wine,beer,alcohol on board ? Sodas are free at the soda dispenser on the pool deck, so no need to bring sodas on the ship unless you want some in your cabin
