TIP for the DAY
ALWAYS have your camera with you !! You never know when a character might come around the corner !

To check on characters time and location check your Navigator or call 7-PALS from your stateroom phone

Also, you can drop off a pillowcase or picture frame at Guest Services and they'll have the characters sign it. Then they'll deliver it to your stateroom before the end of the cruise. They'll have you fill out a short form saying which characters you want to sign, stateroom #, name. If it's a frame...vertical or horizonal.

And the best part it's a wonderful FREE souvenir !!!

Someone on our last cruise gave us a pic frame with markers in a zip lock bag as our f/e gift. It was very nice to take that home as a 'free' souvineer!

What a great idea !!! If I weren't already making something I'd have to steal that idea !

I have sent milliepie a request for tweaking our logo. I asked her to curve the wording & to put mickeys ears in the porthole like the sunset ?? I hope I explained it right. I'll let you know when I hear back from her.

Hi all! Family of four going on our 3rd DC (bounce back offer, I believe it's called); last sailed in Feb. New to the boards too. Have been reading back posts so excuse the ignorance but what is a FE? I've seen a picture of what looks like a pocket keeper to fasten to your stateroom door and I see something about gifts. Who gives the gifts? Is this like a secret santa exchange between members of this forum?
Also, what is this about door magnets? I seem to remember seeing stateroom doors decorated when we were on our last cruise.

Just check out the FAQ on the cruise forum, it will answer all your questions and they have pictures as well! There are lots of threads on the Fish Extenders and door magnets.

You are exactly right about the FE gift exchange. It's like a secret santa. You can give one gift per stateroom or individual gifts. Or a gift for the adults and a separate gift for the kids. It's totally up to you. Mainly, it's just for fun. Don't spend much. You can purchase things from Oriental Trader, Dollar Store, you can make things.

Hang your FE on your fish outside your door and watch the goodies arrive !!

I bought my FE online through ebay. I paid $30 but you can find some for $20. And some are personalized.

On Embarkation Day we'll meet at 3:00 pm ( just before the Muster Drill ) in the Promenade Lounge and get to know each other. At that time I'll check and see if we have any changes in cabin #'s and I'll have an FE List for everyone. I might assign a certain day for each of you to deliver your goodies. That way they won't all get passed out the same day . So if anyone has a particular day they want to pass out gifts let me know. I E, some may have pirate stuff that you want to give out before Pirate night

You can do a search on these boards for FE ideas.

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask.

ele2girls....are you staying somewhere before the cruise ? Do you have your cabin # yet ? Where are you from ? Or just tell me to mind my own business

ele2girls...click on this link and ask jordan or milliepie to design a door magnet for you ! They are the nicest people to do this. They don't get paid. You can go through the posts and find a design you like. Then they'll personalize it for you. Then you can print it out on magnetic paper or cardstock and use magnets. You just can't put tape on your door.

We have used sticky tac to attach things to our door. I read somewhere that thats acceptable. We've also found that printing on magnetic paper works the best! I found a bunch of cute designs on here! Check it out and most of all...HAVE FUN!!!!

First I should introduce myself - I am rahrah's DW. I've been checking this thread every now and then to see what's going on with the group. My DH seems to be spending every available moment playing WOW so I'm sure you thought we had given up on going on the cruise.

So here's what I have gathered so far:
1. There is a group doing the FE thing and you must join by early Feb. if you want to participate.

2. The button idea has taken the place of the t-shirt idea. (I love the button logo!)

3. Some of the group is spending the night before the cruise at the Pop Century. We are too.

4. First meeting of the group is 3:00 pm at the Promenade Lounge on the day the cruiise departs.

Have I missed anything? We've been on 3 Disney cruises but this is the 1st time we are trying the cruise "meet" thing.

We are REALLY looking forward to this cruise!

Yes, you have everything straight. I'm still waiting on our logo design. I'll share it with you when I get it.Still haven't heard fro the group if they want to do buttons or T-shirts. Personally, I like the idea of the buttons.

Is Vieva still sailing with us ? Is she bringing a friend ?

Hi again!

Probably not doing the FE thing since we are heading to WDW the day after I take the Massachusetts Bar Exam. I won't know the results for 3 months or so. On the cruise I WILL be ready to celebrate having taken it tho'!! I'll worry about passing later...

We have 2 Bichon Frises and sadly, we are down to 2 kitties.

DH and I are in Room 2068. My sister is booked for her own cabin - don't know the number though. As far as I know, it's just the 3 of us on the cruise.

Back to the books for me!

I was looking around to see where scrappy saw all of mmhmm's pets but I didn't see anything unless it was from another thread. I love animals! We used to have a black lab but no longer. Right now one of my jobs is assisting in a vet clinic, it gives me my pet fix!
