February 26, 2011 - 7 Night Caribbean Sailing

Why oh Why is packing sooo.... stressful:sad2: Trying to get it done today, but DH and 3 DS's are not co-operating. It seems soccer is more important than what they want to take. Maybe I should just pack what I want them to wear and see their faces when they unpack on the ship:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. Hard to imagine this time next week we will be on the Magic...:cheer2: So excited. Hope all are staying healthy, my DS with the flu is on the mend so hopefully no more sickness here. We are forecast to have snow come through Monday night into Tuesday so I hope that doesn't cause any problems with driving on Wednesday. Maybe the kids will have another snow day:scared1:

ok guys, hang on....GUESS WHAT!!!!!

1 more friday til CRUISE EVE!!!!

:cool1::cool1::woohoo::woohoo::cheer2::cheer2:

Very excited to see this when I came home from work yesterday. I have looked forward to every Friday to see your updated weekly post so thank you for putting these up every week. Look forward to seeing your last one next Friday if you are able:cool1:

Anyone staying at the Bay Lake Towers for the night before?

Sounds about right. We just show up anytime after 1030, 11am. We are leaving Orlando about 9am, by the time you get to the Port, hand off the luggage and park, you are at 11am easy.

Leaving in 10 days........:cool1:

We normally do the same. But I went on-line to reprint our cruise contract and the online check-in was new and had a "port arrival time" assigned. It says we cannot arrive at the port before this time. I was wondering if anyone had experience with this? Since it is new, maybe they aren't too strict about it? I don't see them making everyone wait outside until their "port arrival time". Hmmmmm.... pirate:

OK. I just got off the phone with Disney about the "port arrival times" and they said, "Those times are for us to adjust staffing accordingly." He told me that they may be more strict about the times in the future, but right now they are just guidelines really. ("Parley?")pirate::rotfl2:

You can arrive at anytime, even if that arrival time is greyed out. No one will be turned away or asked to wait. So we are planing to be there around 10:30am as usual.

We are excited! The countdown is on!

well, tonight is packing night, or atleast digging out the suitcases night. Most of our kids are leaving on Tuesday night, while my wife and I leave Thurday afternoon. My kids are going to visit friends in Mooresville NC for a few days, before continuing on to Orlando. My wife and I are :drive: straight through to Orlando. It will be a good 23 hour jaunt for us. Heres to :drinking1 hoping for decent weather, no construction delays, no accident delays and no mechnical issues!!

:thumbsup2

Parley!!! Now that is funny!!! :rotfl2:

Have a very safe trip to the ship everyone!!! Hope all are back in good health and ready to have a wonderful vacation...

See you there! We are sooo excited we can't stand it!!!!!

I just finished my last sewing project for the trip! :cool1: Nothing like waiting until the last second. Well my last sewing project unless I decided to make a matching skirt for my baby to the one I made my oldest yesterday. I might do that tomorrow if I can get my other work done. But the important dresses are all finished!

Now if I could just get 2 weeks worth of work done in 3 days before I leave. I can't wait for vacation. I decided today that I am not even going to bring my laptop. That way I am not even tempted to buy a block of internet minutes and work on my vacation. I need this week all the way off.

4 days from now I'll be in FL and 5 days from now I'll be on the "Mickey Boat".

Hendy Clan I'm glad to hear everyone is on the mend!

To do before Friday -
Get a manicure/pedicure
Iron girls dresses
Pack
Finish a lot of work.

fair warning...you will feel the stress!!!
We leave in 12hrs, to fly out of the midwest in the afternoon, now that mother nature didn't think we have had enough precipitation this winter decided to dump some more ice/snow/rain on us. I went to bed last night with the 10 o'clock news stating 'plan on cancelling flights for Monday morning at Mitchell International'...hope all of that is cleared up by Tuesday as we continue to receve a little 'dusting' of the white stuff. All that are drivng from the east and northeast I give you a lot of credit; I wouldn't have the guts to do it.
I thought I was organized but will still need to do last minute packing in the am while the kidlets are at school until I pick them up at 11am...yes I am mean by torturing them (as well as their teachers) for the few hours they will spend in class but I need a little time to myself for the odds and ends.:laughing::laughing:
Off to sleep, to try to turn the brain off for a little while thinking did I bring ...yes it is in the bag!!!
safe travels to all; see you in a few sunny days:love::love::love:

I'm sending the girls to school Friday until 11 too. The baby won't be an issue but I know my eldest will probably be bouncing off that walls that morning. Lol> But I need the morning to take the dog to the kennel and do last minute packing etc.

I hope noone has any unforseen weather delays.

12 hours - I'm so jealous! I wish I was getting ready to start my vacation.

Safe travels everyone. Are we still meeting @ 3? Cassie , I hope your DBf is feeling better , see you Sat. We are leaving on Thurs. Morning .

Good Morning everyone....

Woke up this morning and more snow...not much...about 2 inches...I can't wait for this cruise.

Safe travels to all. See you onboard on Saturday....3pm Promenade Lounge.:thumbsup2

Have a great day and take care....:flower3:

That’s it folks, 3 more day until we go. On Saturday, THIS Saturday, we’ll be on board. I’m getting so excited yet so stressed at the same time. I really wish I could have taken an extra afternoon off. But no, on top of things, my boss is away and has asked me to replace him until Friday AM.

I hope everyone is now back in health. My DD has eaten a toast, fruit and yogourt this AM, so that tells me that she is much better! I wish you all a safe trip to Port Carnaveral. I will try and make it to the Promenade lounge for 3 (after the tour). I’m a chubby brunette, with blond highlights and bright red under the highlights. My name is Isabelle.

We are doing Sea Treck St-Marteen and Doubloon Turtle and Cove in St-Thomas. I will be alone with my oldest DD for these excursions. Please come and talk to us if you see us!

Thank you for having shared these last few months of preparation with me!

Woke up this morning to 6" snow and a snow day for the kids.

Please send up some prayers for one of our families at school. A mom called me at school this morning to let us know that her kindergarten son was tragically killed on Sunday evening. He walked on some ice that broke under him and he drowned. Such a tragic tragic loss. Not what I was expected to do on my last day before vacation at the moment we are organizing a crisis team to be on hand tomorrow when school reopens, but had to get out of the office to clear my head and to think about something positive and thought of this board.

Thanks for letting me get this out.

How awful, so very sad...our deepest sympathies and prayers to family for their loss.

We leave from BWI (Baltimore-Washington International) Friday morning. We will arrive Orlando around 9:30am.

What time is everyone arriving at the port? We will be there around 10:30 am. It's too bad we don't know what we look like...we could meet at the port before going to the meet at the Promenade Lounge.

I am so excited...finally our cruise is just about here..:woohoo:

Cassie...still saying prayers for Mike...we are hoping that all is well. Please let us know how he is.

Take care.....:flower3:

Hello everyone!

Just got back from tests for Mike. He needs to have bladder reconstruction UGH! BUT...we are going on the cruise! We are renting a wheelchair and he still has to have the foley catheter. We won't be able to do everything we wanted, but at least we'll be together and have fun.

Can't wait to see you all out there on Saturday!! :cool1:

Ugh - Bladder reconstruction does not sound fun at all. But I'm very glad you will be able to go on the cruise and have fun. I hope the travel won't be too hard on Mike.

Great news Cassie! So happy you are able to make the cruise:banana:
Just the type of R&R someones needs before surgery. See you all Sat.!!!:cool1:

3 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yay::yay::yay::banana::banana::banana::yay::yay::yay:

I can't wait! I'm so excited!

Mani/Pedi today at lunch!

I'm going to do laundry tonight so that we can finish packing. I'm hoping to get my husband to layout his clothes tonight so I can pack them. We are going to share a suitcase this time around.

Not loving the weather forecast, but our rain jackets are packed and we will still have fun even if it does rain everywhere we go.
