February 26, 2005, Magic Western

Wow, sounds like a really nice gang of you on our cruise!Cant wait to meet you and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Disney Magic. Our daughter is Gemma, and has been aboard for 5yrs, although only in Palo for 1year so far.She is very much looking forward to meeting you all in Palo, and Dave and I are hoping to dine Key West Brunch and Formal Night dinner at Palo.....at least!haha. Well, we got to eat there, or we wont see too much of her. Her BF is a server also, so be great to see him also.

We have ordered good weather and calm seas! We saw her and bf on webcam in Key West last night...............must find webcam when we are there to wave to family back home in chilly England!

Get packing folks. Love Nat and Dave

I'm glad everyone liked the list. 11 days and counting. We're flying in that day and riding the DCL bus to the terminal. Even people at work are excited for me. I try not to rub their noses in it so I keep it low-key when it's this close.

Joshua has packed his Converse All-Stars so that he won't get the new ones dirty. He's packed lots already. It just gets better and better each year, especially when they get older and are just as excited.

I can't wait to show off my Mickey head tatoo! Only on the Magic will people appreciate it!

Is anyone going to just beach it in Cozumel? We're thinking about just walking or taking a cab and snorkeling from the beach. This trip we just want relaxation and family fun.

And.... this year I'm shoving my kid in the Club so I can see some after-theatre entertainment (no, outside of the cabin). Josh says, well, what if I'm tired and need to go back and rest. I said, bring a pillow to the Club. :rotfl2:

Talk to everyone later!

Hi there: yes, we also staying at the Hyatt 25th Feb. Arriving approx 4pm - unless delayed leaving from UK! We have done this on previous occasions, and its just the perfect place to stay after a long flight, and so convenient for the Disney transportation on the Sat morn. We try to get on the first bus to the port approx 9.30!Look forward to meeting you! Nat and Dave

Greetings! I'm Connie from IL and I'm counting down, too! Am bringing a crew of 11 on board, Patti O & family are crew members along with her brother & family, hubby Ray and Gram. Can't wait for lots of sunshine & w a r m temperatures. Looking forward to meet & greet. "Sail Away" is almost here. 'til then---ConnieA

Welcome ConnieA! You're officially added to my site. If you want me to add the 11 give me names and ages (and how they are related) if you want me to. I cannot wait for this meet and greet. It'll be a blast. It'll at least be fun recognizing faces after we meet.

9 days and counting... oh wait - this day's almost over!!!!!

Kim from rainy CT.

Well, the cat's out of the bag.

Thanks to Verandah Man, a Mickey Mouse card arrived today, which got the boys asking many questions. Josh, aged 7, was particularly curious about how Mickey knew where he lived and how he knew that he was going skiing on spring break. As for Nick, aged 9, it took him about an hour before he really started to believe us. He kept saying, "No, you're just joking, right?"

The fun part about having kept the secret this long is that the boys not only found out that they were going on the cruise, but that they are leaving is just 9 days. As Nick said, "How cool is that!" :cool1:

Cheers to all!

I just spoke with Shirley at The Perfect Gift and ordered some baskets. She said the weather in Port Canaveral is beautiful :sunny: ...she actually said hot but for me, the hotter the better. She also said that she thinks that it is a good thing that DCL leaves Key West earlier now (it used to be 10:00 I think). She said it gets "Crazy" there at night and is really no place for children.

See you all in 9 days! :goodvibes

Tracey

WOW!! 9 days!?! Seems like just yesterday I was counting months!! I am ready for warm weather.. its a bit chilly here in IL, in teh mid-30's today! See you all soon!! Kriso :Pinkbounc

Thanks for the welcome, Kim, and adding me to the roll--that's quite a roster! One more Friday, then it's fun in the sun with Mickey & friends and our new ones. 'til then!!!

HI all! I just found this site! This is great. We are going on our first cruise at this time on Magic to the Western! We are all looking forward to it. I have a Hubby, and 2 girls age 14 and 11. They are barely sleeping they are looking forward to it so much! We are also going with two other families - total of 12 in all. :earboy2:

We would love to meet others going on the trip..especially my 14 year old. It'll be her first experience "clubbing" :rotfl:

Tammy

Welcome MarknTammy. Look forward to meeting you and your family. We will be onboard celebrating our Pearl Anniversary, and are busy packing here! Just spoken to daughter (CM) and she says the weather is lovely in the Caribbean!Am sure you will all have a MAGICAL time.We have had 4 weeks on the Magic previously, and enjoyed every single minute! Happy Sailing. Nat and Dave

I am done packing, we are leaving from home very early morning on Wednesday, and are working on Monday and Tuesday, so we really need everything done this week-end....
We also just found out that our older DD as strep, last year she got an ear infection on the ship, poor kid has no luck, at least she started on antibiotics and should be fine by next Saturday. See you all very soon.

Christinou..I know exactly what you are going through! My 2YO DS started vomiting last night & today has had low fever & more vomiting. :earseek: At least it's happening this weekend instead of next! Here's wishing all of you good health!

Tracey

Welcome MarknTammy. You are also added to our site. We're hoping for a huge meet and greet Monday at 3:00 pm at Scoops. It should be fun. Wear something or have something with lime green and that'll give you away. (Mickey Heads from Home Depot are the best!)

Christine & Tracey, Joshua keeps getting a runny nose and sneezing. Never thought I'd want it to be sinus before. Get out the Lysol and tuck a Purell bottle in their little hands. I've got mine packed and bought a larger bottle yesterday from Target.

Hey everyone.... we're going on a cruise Saturday!!!!!!

Kim

Welcome MarknTammy!
Children aren't the only ones with sleeping issues! I agree with Kim there should be a huge meet & greet Monday afternoon. Won't Nat & Dave have a great anniversary, celebrating on board and seeing with their daughter. This time next week--blue skies, blue water, sun & FUN. We're almost there! 'til then!!!

No sick ones on this end...knock on wood...but Josh, the owner of a beautiful smile up until a week ago...has decided that now is good time to lose a front tooth! My only hope is that it falls out before Saturday because right now it's just pushed all crooked and every which way from the adult tooth trying to push its way down.

I guess this year's vacation photos will be the ones we'll be laughing at years from now.

Better go and give the kid another hard apple to eat!

Welcome to all our new friends...see you all in a few days!

I just noticed that I got promoted to Mouseketeer...woohoo...I'll have to have a drink to celebrate that onboard!

Well I worried about sick kids here, luckily none.....it was me!!!! Thank goodness I'm feelin better and ready for the WARM weather!!! Brenda that is so funny about Josh's tooth.... 2 weeks ago Jake's front tooth did the same thing ...now he's got an eye tooth out, a front permanent tooth in and missing a front tooth... it's quite the site:teeth: Hard to believe Saturday will be in here in no time at all. We are all READY TO GO!!!!!!! See everyone soon! Patti

Hi Everyone,

We are very excited for Saturday, we are actually leaving on Friday morning and spending the night in Cape Canaveral. I am traveling with 3 small children, DD 4, DD 2 1/2, and DS 8 months, I am also traveling with my brother and his family!!
We can't wait to go, we have been packed for a while and my 2 1/2 year old has been wearing her bathing suit for over a week. (we live in Boston), It is COLD!!

Less than one week! I hope you all have a great time!!! :cool1: :cool1: I'm so excited about our first ever cruise, which isn't for another 7 or so weeks, I've started reading cruise meet threads that have nothing to do with me.
