February 25th Magic Cruise Board

I should quote here, but I only have a minute then I have to log off. I meant to ask you, did Bernard quote you a price for all 10 of us?

Nice to meet you all !!!

My family and I are ON THIS Cruise !

Coming from Japan. My wife is Japanese, I am American. We actually spend part of the year in Florida ( have a vacation home there ) and the rest of the time in Japan

Got two kids, 3 and 1, that are coming with us.

This will be our first DISNEY cruise.

Cant wait, we bought our tickets over a year ago LOL so have been looking forward to this for a long time.

Forgive my ignorance, but...what does "couch burning" mean? I am getting a mental picture that is probably inaccurate. :lmao:

IF, your mental picture is..........

A BIG FAN, dragging a couch into the middle of the street, (because of a great win, or horrible loss) to light it on fire and drink a beer with soem friends while enjoying the heat of the couch burning, maybe roasting a marshmellow...............

You are correct!!!

What day do you guys arrive in Orlando?

Are you going to any parks? or just DTD?

Our group is heading to DTD before we hit the parks....
THought if you happen to be there when we were we could say HEY!!!

Welcome!! You all will have an awesome time! :goodvibes

Where in Japan do you live when you are there? My dad lives in Yokosuka.

Thank you! we cant wait, we been planning and thinking about this for over a year now. I have been on regular Cruises before, but my wife and kids havent and I keep telling them it's going to be unbelievable fun PLUS ! Since its a Disney Cruise >

We are in ***uoka ( Kyushu ) !

We are there from April 1st to First week in August ( roughly ) then from October 1st to 2nd week in February.

Roughly 33-34 weeks a year.

Ok...this? Is totally making me :lmao:

I mean, wouldn't you have to have either: 1) a pretty mediocre team, or 2) a LOT of extra couches?

I need to come to one of these couch burning parties! My alma mater has no football program, so I don't root vigorously for any team in particular. I'll cheer for WVU and win or lose, we'll do some 'mallow roasting.

LOL the board blocks out the beginning of the city / prefecture we live in because it looks like a curse word LOL

I got to admit first time I flew into this city I thought the same, so cant blame the site LOL

Well, this is the place for planners! Disney cruises are absolutely the very best! We had pretty much decided that weren't ever going to cruise again after our first time on another line. Our travel agent convinced us to try Disney, and it was our best family vacation ever!

So the cruise will be the beginning of your time in Florida, then? How nice! My dad hasn't been in Japan very long but the last few times I've spoken to him he says it's very cold. (Of course, he moved there from Guam, so he may just be thin-skinned!)

Haha! I noticed that. I just took a guess based on what the site might block. Too funny!

Yeah we arrive in Florida actually only a day before the cruise ( we are going to Florida late this time ) and we will be there until April 1st. We always do the theme parks too when we are there, so this year is no different. Funny thing is, Even though we can claim Florida residents status, the cheapest way to get Disney tickets is not buying Florida Residents tickets. Its buying a 10 day non florida resident ticket with no expiration.

But yeah , right now its sort of cold here. We are in Kyushu ( that is the bottom MAIN island ) so we dont get snow ( usually ). But up north is much colder and lots of snow.

Its colder than Florida though, thats for sure, at this time of year.

Also was going to do the pillow to be autographed but I see there are other ideas..what is everyone doing?

We have a photo matte to get signed (figured we'd put our favorite family pic from the cruise in it) and a black Vinylmation with silver Sharpies for signatures.

I am doing a shirt........
BUT if i have time i might do a photomat as well.

I think i would like it better then the shirt.

Maybe i will find one today when i am shopping.....

THis is a true story.........

Normally it is only BIG WINS or LOSSES that bring our the Redneck in us MOUNTAINEERS!!!

BUT When we were getting ready to play LSU....THE WEEKEND BEFORE the game there were announcements all over the town, that EVERY ONE in a certain RADIUS, had to take ALL furniture OFF OF THEIR PORCHES,

BTW........IT is against the law here to burn a couch in the street.

And 2 days before the game they had police checking every nook and cranny of the town and porches giving tickets and warnings to those who had not removed the furniture.

THe day before the game there were dump trucks hauling off the furniture which had not been removed
IN HOPES OF NO FURNITURE OR COUCH BURNING....

MY DD had a candle of a couch that we were goign to burn if we won....
SADLY WE DID NOT!!!!!:scared1:

THeres a question I have for you

My wife wants to get those autograph books for the kids and have them get the characters sign them. Do they sell those books on the cruise ?

Yes they do sell them on the ships. If you are getting to Florida early any souvenir place sells them too. They have book that you can also add a photo on the opposite from the autograph. Also make sure to get a pen for the book and have it handy.
