LOL, no, what I mean is, there are NO lounge beach chairs. They are all regular cheap, outdoor, plastic chairs. Not a lot of lounging on the beach in those. That is what I meant. There are none. Just not how I envisioned our day at the beach--sitting at a table while the kids play in the sand. :teeth: I think we will get away from the crowds and go to Maya
Palms Resort.

Tracy

Are you sure about this Tracy? I read alot of posts from lots of people about deciding whether to go by excursion or just by themselves and save money and they all said there were plenty of lounge chairs you could use as long as you bought their food and/or drink. They had no problem at all. I did read a post where someone said something about only having plastic chairs left... but that was only one post out of all the ones I read. We're not going to be on the beach in Costa Maya I dont think as we leave port earlier than expected and we have the ruins tour to do... but still... if what you say is accurate.. that would stink! :confused3

THe same thing happened to us 2 years ago, we missed castaway cay, had an extra sea day. The crew was very nice, and the front desk was dispensing anti-nausia pills. We got some, and they did help. As I recall from last year's valentines day cruise, nothing much was done to celebrate from the cruise line. I am sure we will make our own mardigras fun though :sail: pixiedust:

Ok, I am looking into having a little something in the room waiting for us when we get on board. I am thinking of going with Shirley's baskets, but I also know that DCL offers their own selections. Has anyone ever ordered a "Stateroom Celebration" package through DCL? I am looking specifically at the Bon Voyage one. I was wondering if the decorations are put up before we get in, or am I going to have to make the mad scramble to find the room and put the stuff up before dh and dd's make their way to the room? :confused3 I want to get some baskets for the girls from Shirley, but I also thought they would enjoy seeing the banner and cake as well! :sunny: Has anyone had any experience with this?

And Jeff, I LOVE that picture of the water bursting over the front(bow?) of the ship!! As long as I know I won't get washed overboard, I would love to see that!! Well, maybe not on my first cruise, but what a sight!! :)

Never done any baskets with anyone, but are doing kids ones thru Shirley's this time..

Just so i don't worry too many, that pic of water bursting over the front was not a cruise ship..... didn't you watch the DVD ? Disney Cruise ships have wings, so if we hit rough seas, maybe it will fly (over the waves)

 Moira.. from what I've read on other boards.. Disney decorates your room all up for you so it's there and done when you first open the door :)
