My name is Mike, from Toronto, Canada. We are also sailing on the 24th, it will be me, wife Loraine and our two daughters Kaitlynn (6 ½ ) and Ashlyn (4 months ). This is our first Disney Cruise, but we have cruised on RC twice before. This board is great, we have learned so much, so many tips and inside info, it’s great.

Soleilmagie, we are actually neighbors, our room is next to yours...funny that they put two Canadians next to each other.

Interesting. This is not the first I have seen on this board about DCL putting Canadians together. I saw another thread about dinner table assignments were a Canadian was disappointed that DCL stuck them at a table full of other Canadians. They were disappointed cause they wanted to meet folks other then Canadians.

Probably just a fluke but interesting nonetheless.

I don’t mind. We probably won’t be spending much time in our room so no worries. Heck the last couple cruses we never even saw our neighbors till the last day….

I don't mind you guys being our neighbors, we're all Disney fans aren't we?

I also read the dining thread (it's so funny! ) where they mentionned people from the same state or country being seated together. Some said that hadn't much to say to people living close by. I don't mind and I know I would like to have people other than our family at our table, wherever they're from. I wouldn't have said that before our first cruise, but we really missed it when we were seated by ourselves last year. It was nice to have someone to tell about your day.

In one month, we will be aboard!

My wife and I are going to be on this cruise as well as another couple
we work with.
This will be our first Disney Cruise and I appreciate all the good tips I have
found here.
We are from Texas and will be on the Deck 8.
Now i gotta find me one of them pirate costumes !

to Poke and the Robinsons! Quite the group we have going. 29 days left to go...29 days of cold and dark of New England before bright sunshine and warm weather!

We will also be on the cruise in the 24th! It's our first and we are doing a small family reunion. In my immeadiate family it's me (31), DH (32) , our two daughters (9 and 6) and our son (3). I can't wait to go!! Does anyone know when the Pirate Party is? Also, do the little girls dress like princesses? Mine aren't too fond of "pirates' they are girlie girls!!
Also, I found some little boy pirate hats at Target in their dollar section! They also have a little vest too. My son loved them and they are cheap enough to leave behind!

I don't remember seeing Princesses on Pirate Night (which is on Day 3 - Castaway Cay) . But I did buy my DD a Pirate Princess Minnie Hat on board to go with her dress. She will have it again this time, but with a blouse and capris, so she'll look more like a Pirate... in pink! Your DDs can also go for the Elizabeth Swann look.

They will have many other occasions to dress as Princesses if they want to , like dress-up night and picture sessions with the Princesses. I'm bringing my DD's Snow White dress again, and the Tink costume we got her for Christmas -- Oops! That Santa brought her for Christmas!

thanks for the welcome shipmates...i have a question i haven't found
(not that i looked really hard) answered.
if we don't have anything planned except hanging out at serenity bay
how do we get there ? since i don't have a clue how far it is i didn't
know if you walk, tram.... any info would be appreciated.

You can do both. But I can't tell you how long it is to walk because we haven't been to Serenity Bay yet. We hope to go this time... I'll try to find you a map of Castaway Cay.
