Hey All! Going end of February For 7 nights. Our first trip back in 25 years! It will seem like the first time, I'm sure.

Bummed about the Monorail and Disney RR.

Holy !! I'm excited for you! 25 years....we're talking not just changes at the physical park, but also, how we enjoy/experience the park, in terms of all the technology on our person (i.e., mobile devices, etc.).

THANKS! We are just looking forward to the vibe. We plan on a lot of relaxing. Our first family trip to DLR was back before CA was still a parking lot. We stayed at DLH. Next couple trips were to WDW where we took the DVC plunge. Our last trip was using DVC points at the GCH before DVC was there. We want to start a new tradition of more frequent DLR trips.

Same, I'm especially gutted over the railroad being closed. And having them both down at the same time will be rough. I'll miss the energy and movement!

DW has a bad ankle so the mono rail was going to save a lot of steps. But we plan on having a great time anyway.

Yeah same. Not hearing the whistle, (especially when your WAY over on the other side of the park) is going to be a bit of a bummer.

I'll settle for hearing the boat whistle

I was looking at the Disneyland website and I noticed that some attractions are only open on certain days. What I have found are:

Sailing Ship Columbia is open on Sunday of my trip only.
Canoes are Friday Sat and Sunday.
I want to do these, so I've made a note to do them on the day they are open.

Are there other attractions like this that I should be aware of?

(I already know about Fantasmic and Fireworks on weekends only)

I just realized you never got an answer! I think those are the only exceptions, I noticed that too about the Columbia.

It's more of a daily heads up (and you may already know this), but the rafts to Tom Sawyer Island stop around 5pm each day.

@Orsino, they tend to bring the Columbia out on busier days. It isn't always listed on the app.

I came to vent for a minute. We leave tomorrow and our flight was cancelled by Alaska Air. I hate flying with Alaska, I was a very loyal customer for 20+ years but have had too many cancelled or late flights with poor customer service. We had somewhere around 140,000 miles to use so I've been booking our trips for this year to use them up. Well the first trip has a cancelled flight. Have to fly into Ontario without our upgrade and that was like pulling teeth to get that flight booked. It has started the trip off with a bitter taste and now I have to figure out how to get it out of my mind. Won't get to the parks until about 1 instead of 10 tomorrow. I keep reminding myself I am fortunate but it's hard.

It is great here today! Got here about 1 and crowds are so light. Been on about 5 rides and had a late lunch.

Ours was good the 6-9th. I will admit I was super surprised at how heavy the crowds were on that Saturday and Sunday. I know there is no odd season but crowds were awful in my opinion. It was a very good learning experience for how I'll do things the rest of this year with our MK.

We were there on the 8th and we also thought it was more crowded than usual.

Here now and how did I miss that there’s a dance competition convention at Disneyland this weekend?
I was prepared for the holiday weekend, but not lines everywhere at the Disneyland Hotel. To park. To eat. To use elevator.
the kids are perfectly polite and sweet, but OMG there are a lot of them!

Just back from our trip! We knew it would be busy due to school breaks and dance competition but it was way busier than we imagined. Thank goodness for LL.

DCA was struggling on Wednesday! Around park opening the following rides were closed: Goofy’s, Pixar Pal around (I don’t think it ever opened), Luigi’s, then RSR went down so waits for everything else were insane. But the one highlight was DD and I rode Guardians for the first time (we hate drops) and loved it! So glad I had heard to let yourself float and not fight it or I would have had a full blown panic attack lol.
